Time to lose the fresher's flab!

I've been a member of Slimming World on and off for years, but since coming to uni I've piled on the weight like most students do. I'm in my third year now and don't want to graduate a big flabby mess, so it's time to get my act together and lose this freshers flab once and for all!

I rejoined about a month ago but I've not really got back into it after one thing and another, so now I'm starting this new diary to keep me on track and hopefully get some useful advice along the way :D
 
I'm planning on doing some red and green days this week, as I always did well on them before! Also starting back at the gym tomorrow after no proper exercise for nearly 2 weeks.. I'm actually looking forward to it :)

Today has been a good day so far. Just having a snack of some grapes and a Hifi light bar before I go swimming at the gym. Got syn free chicken curry ready and waiting for me when I get back. Can't wait, it smells gorgeous :)

Hi. Your food diary sounds great. Its tricky sometimes to know what to cook. But i now plan at least 3 days ahead so i know i wont "snack" on junk. Lol. Good luck with the weight loss. I joined 6 weeks ago and am loving it. What days do u weigh? X

Hello :) I usually plan about 3 days in advance too, mostly because I hate wasting food! I joined about 6 weeks ago too, and I did well in my first few weeks losing 4.5lbs but then I had a couple of weeks off plan and put it back on again :( So I feel like I'm starting again really!

I weigh on a Tuesday night, how about you? I'm determined to have a great week this week and get a good loss next week :D xx
 
Hi. Yes its best to plan. I had a good loss of 8 and a half pounds first week. And weight has been coming off every week, lost 24 pounds now. Nearly 2 stone in six weeks. Im about a stone away from target. I weigh on a tuesday morning. Im really focused now had a bit of a wobble last week but on track. Just trying to think of exciting foods to eat. Lol. So i dont get bored and snack. Glad to hear your on track now, nothing worse for your confidence than to put weight back on. But u will succed if u plan and focus. :DXx

Another good day so far today :) I've been at uni all day getting work done, and I'm off to the gym at 6 for a Body Combat class, can't wait! Looking forward to my tea when I get back too, and then a lovely chilled evening of reading my new Bridget Jones book!

Woooo! It's the weekend!! :D :D

Didn't get as much of a lie in as I would've liked though, cuz my silly body woke me up at half 8! Anyway, I'm sat in bed having my breakfast of apple, nectarine, a yoghurt and a cereal bar. Off to Body Combat at 10:30, still aching from Thursday's session!

Got a lovely day of food planned!

I'm having a flexi-syn day today as we're having a movie night at home and I feel like having a few extra snacks. My limit is 35. Shouldn't affect my week too much as I don't normally have any syns on a Tuesday leading up to weigh in. Obviously I'll be having a load after though ;)

So I might have gone slightly over yesterday. I had my allocated 35 syns, and then I had a couple of mini twix bite things and 2 marshmellows. Not too worried as it shouldn't make a huge difference. Today will be slightly more challenging though, as I'm off out for lunch with my mum and step dad, and then off to a friend's tonight for a thai takeaway. If I have small portions I'm hoping I can get away with not really counting syns!

So yesterday turned into a massive binge, and today has too :( Really need to get my act together and fast!

Don't know if I can face going to weigh in tomorrow night. I seem to be trapped in vicious cycle of sticking to plan all week, and then it gets to Monday and I just seem to go off plan and binge on anything and everything.

Happens pretty much every week and nearly always end up gaining. Wonder if a few weeks off from group might help me get my head back into it, take some of the pressure off me maybe.

Think I will still post my diary. And I'm thinking of doing some red days too to try and boost my losses.
