not sure if anyone can help but here goes

Due to some fertility problems I havent had a period since Jan 13th - This morning it started :):):):) but now I am wondering if I am unlikely to see any weight loss this week? I weighed on Tuesday and had lost another 6lb and I am not sure if you usually retain water the week of your period or the week before? Just want to prepare myself if I am going to be disappointed.

Obviously, I can only go on personal experience but I've always lost weight on my TOTM week! Just keep drinking the water!

It all depends if you retain water when its your totm. I do, but I take aquaban and it seems to work fine with the diet also. I lost 3 lb this week.

I lost more last week than other weeks and I got TOTM in the middle of the week. It truely depends on the water retention prior to TOTM, I usually hold water for up to 2 weeks prior to day 1 and from day 1 the water retention symptoms usually subside so thats why I feel I lost less in week 4 and more in week 6 :)

Best of luck with resolving your fertility issues, its a burden I know well :)

I usually retain water during the first 2/3 days of my period, a little bit before, but mostly during those first few days.

Obviously it's an unusual event for you so your body may be different, but I would imagine you will be over the water retention by your next Tuesday weigh in.

And it's a good reason not to do any sneaky mid-week weigh in's though;)

Most of my clients are female - some lose weight normally during the whole month, some gain or STS the week before, and some gain or STS TOTM week. Everyone is different. As long as you've stuck to it - drunk loads of water - if you don't lose weight or as much as you want this week, it'll come off next week.

Hi Justjane! Congrats on getting your period back that is a huge deal I know when battling your fertility problems- don't get too hung up on any fluid retention, if you don't lose this week you will next week as diet is obviously working well for you!
