Trying a fresh!

Waaah! Slimming world needed to ease back into dieting! I've been soooo bad over Christmas and gained half a stone over three weeks :(
10st 4 today.... I feel horrible and need to get back under 10...
Gonna fast tomorrow and wed probably and then hope the scales will be good to me on Friday. Feel so bloated! :(

B - banana, 2 quorn sausage (2), grilled tomato, beans, slice wm (b) tea
L - carrot sticks
D - jacket spud with 30g cheddar (a) green bean and sweetcorn salad, balsamic vinegar
S - clementine, coffee, 10 giant choc buttons (7) tea

Trying to plan food to the full as we are skint and trying to make sure no waste! We still have cheese left from Christmas but that's about it, ooh and some smoked salmon- thinking a red day tomorrow!
How's you and the back?! I try and keep up with your thread but it takes me ages! Lol

Lol yeah it moves fast cos I waffle a lot. My back is actually ok at the mo because of the Tramadol chick. I have an appt to see the surgeon in Feb if my letter ever comes through grrrr.

I know what you mean re the skint thing and Jan is such a longgggggggggggg month booo. Ive done a meal plan for evening meals for the week, and im buying bags of frozen veg instead of fresh its cheaper and no waste. Ive been throwing loads out and cant afford to keep doing it x

Texty- I had a call for cancellation on Tuesday so got into Rheumatology specialists on Wed this week! They are giving me specialist physio, blood tests to check for a particular issue ( more to rule out I think)and will see them again in a few months.. So good the ball is rolling again:)

Glad the tramadol is helping and keeping you afloat- let's hope your appt comes thru soon

140.04lb this morning... Another 1lb so Still coming off slowly :)
 
Wi: 138.8 - 1.6lb off :) this is all going in the right direction!
Pre Christmas was 136.2 so 2.6lb to get to there.. Then 133 is my goal... 5.8lb to go :)

Evening chick hows you? Glad you got your appt and that theyre doing stuff to rule out things. I got my letter yesterday confirming my appt at the Orthopaedic and fracture clinic on the 25th Feb. Just wondering what they will suggest :-(

Hello m'dear! I'm all good! Just having a chilled evening after sw chips and steak with yum red cabbage and roasted carrots and fennel!!
I got appt thru already for third MRI scan - literally next week - the Mineral Hospital in Bath are amazing!! It is looking like general inflammation of the spine, but at least they are on it. Also getting specialist physio from the Min too..:

Phew, thank goodness you have confirmation - hopefully they'll be able to get things moving soon for you - it all just takes so long between things!!

Yes, the weight loss is so pleasing.. So close to getting there! You're not far off yourself missy!!! I'm hoping to get there and be comfy in my planned weight by my bday in March.. Plenty of time!!

My doc knows I want surgery as a last resort so will have to wait and see what they suggest, doc mentioned injections or botox arghhh.

Yeah 6lbs to mine then I'll have to decide if I want to drop another 7. Hoping to get there by end of Feb at the latest eeekkk xx

Ooh, injections or Botox eh! Def surgery as last option.. Tis not an option for me which is a relief.. Been not too bad lately.. Odd horrid days and just keeping up with anti inflammatories..
End of feb sounds like a good goal if you have 6 and I have 5.8 to go we are on level pegging!!! Maybe end of feb would be good for me too.. Then I'll be feeling fab for the bday on March 20th!!

The Tramadol are keeping the pain pretty much at bay at the mo, but my body knows when ive not taken them my back hurts like hell.

We so can do this hun - keep me posted with how things go with both your appts and your losses. Good luck x

I'm still ticking along with a sw ish/ 5:2 ish combo and maintaining which is cool.. Been so busy at college so have had to keep strength up!
Just off for two days for assessment then on to final project which is what we are graded on... Aaaaa, gone so quick!

How's your back? Mines not been too bad since new physio and acupuncture (touch wood!) xxl
 
Hello lovely Lou ---- Good to hear from you hunni. Glad your back's not been to bad.

I was at the hospital 2 weeks ago to see the consultant. I need another MRI scan, he says my case is too difficult to make a decision on on his own. He is going to wait for the results and then refer me to a panel to decide what to do next. He reckons most disc problems are at the top or bottom of the spine mine is in the middle. There is a risk (with any surgery) that I may be paralysed, so if they operate they need to decide to go in through the back or my chest wall!!! The only other option is an injection to numb me which is just masking the problem. Even the tramadol arent working now, I think a phone call to doc is in order to ask if I can increase the dose.

Hope the assignment goes well and you get the grades you deserve chick. Keep me posted.

That's all sounding horrible - poor you. definitely get onto the docs, as you've been so uncomfortable.. Better to keep the pain at bay (tho I hate taking the meds, it makes it bearable) So debilitating:( sounds like they are getting onto it properly tho which is good, hope the next bit comes round quickly for you.

Yeah, will keep you posted on the uni front :)

Right... It's all gone wrong And I need to reign it in...:-/

Been happily plodding around 10.2-10.4 and I'm now up to 10.10.. And feeling horrendous.. Week days not too bad and been following pretty well but weekend wine not helping and food too, I seem to be obsessed with eating.. Comfort eating :( clothes not fitting well and I just feel so horrible :(

Change in meds hasn't helped, finally had coil removed as was having so much trouble and gone back to implant but a brief stint on pill has not helped..

Uni not helped in a way as I'm f/t Monday to Friday 9-5 so fasts are less easy as they were before.. And I'm knackered!

Time to get back on it big time.. Gonna record food on here.. Really need to follow SW and maybe a couple of fast days in too..

So tomorrow - I'm gonna fast.. I know I can do this and I have a holiday in two months so the aim is to lose 10lb by then.. Need to keep up more Pilates too which I do at uni, but must do it more in the evenings.. Also want to try and get out walking at lunch times..

So

1. Eat SW
2. Fast on Monday & Wednesday each week
3. Only drink wine on a Friday/sat
4. Do Pilates at least three evenings a week
5. Walk at lunchtime at least twice a week

I need to get on top of this
