I'm trying to diet on my own without going to a group. I am 56 and have been doing slimming world since it first came into being in the 70's. When I started it was a high protein (all red days) then it progressed to red and green, then extra easy etc etc and through the years I've stayed quite slim, but 18 months ago I gave up smoking and the weight doesn't seem to come off as easy. Has anyone else had the same problem or am I just making excuses subconsciously. I really want to lose the 1.5 stones I gained, but even joining a class and paying didn't work I got frustrated and stopped going, hence I am hoping that following the blogs and posts I might do better. If giving up smoking put your weight on please help me.
