Vic Vodkas dieting rollercoaster - back to it!!!!

<I don't even know what a weeeee is!>

BTW I HAVE GOT TOTM. it is early no wonder im bloated :(

Bummer!! Unlikely those 2lbs will shift this week then... but good that yr sts'ing. xxx

:( sniff sniff lol. bum!
quick question do i start conso from the day i hit ten 4 or do I wait till weigh in?

or maybe a couple of days till its settles lmao. omg im so scared of conso!

Yes day after normal weigh in, I'd say... (cos we all have a tendency of having a PP immediately preceding our weigh in, so obviously weigh in day IS our lowest... and from then on, in Conso, it could be a rocky ride...). I'm not saying that to frighten you, Vicky, cos we've talked about it a lot on- and off-board, but obviously once you move to 6 x PVs a week, bread, fruit, cheese plus one starch AND treat meal a week (you are doing just the one starch and one treat meal a week to kick off, yes?), daily weighing ISN'T a good idea (if you're likely to panic and start compensating mid-week for a gain...)

Don't panic... you should be looking forward to it!! (but I do understand!!)... (I put mine off twice before starting first time.)

Just don't start compensating, that's all I ask... introduce all as supposed to. Nothing less. Nothing more. (Oh I don't know how you'll deal with any extra alcohol at weekends... up to you!!)

how much pasta was it again? and yes only half the quota for first half. I think i should be done first half by end december and rest by end march! phew. will i stick it or just end up stabilizing another way??? its worrying.
yes i think ill wait a couple of days after WI!

Not half the quota... the 40g bread + cheese + 1 fruit stands. but just 1 starch and 1 treat meal for first half of Conso as opposed to what is written in the book.

Stick it as long as you can cos, trust me, stabilising another way ain't easy either!! I chose this diet slightly lighter than I am now because of phase 3...!!

AH RIGHT the uk book says half everything, plus how much pasta? weight?

Ooh cheese - I can almost taste it for you! good luck for tomorrow - perhaps a colonic and a drastic haircut before weigh in just to be sure! :jelous::D

My book has two starchy foods (p.121) and two treat meals (p.126)... where's the half/half way?

Starch... p. 122, he says to prefer pasta, and to eat 225g cooked weight (which means about 80-100g raw, depending on the pasta shape). (It's a lot...). And to top it with a tomato sauce.

Before starting Conso, please reread the whole thing Vicky... cos there are some things I'd forgotten (I knew he preferred pasta, so I always ate that and didn't have the other things - but he says rice and potatoes are at the bottom of his list, behind couscous, bulgur wheat, polenta and durum wheat.).

I know when "refeeding" after certain other low carb diets, they talk about the glycogen weight coming back on - is that the case in Atkins too? While he doesn't mention it, I'm inclined to tentatively suggest that it does because most get a rise immediately... things will settle though... In Cruise, PP days do empty our cells of water... we know that and accept that... so I'm thinking it's inevitable that some water weight returns?

Any thoughts? Ref Atkins experience in the past anyone?

Dont know about Atkins never got that far lol. I would only eat pasta anway and only wholewheat im not keen on the other starches anyway (apart from chips but they will be kept for gala meal ;))
I will start rereading this weekened ive got plenty of time. might actually read the exercise but this time. i got bored but i thin ive got the gist of that!

it was me taking about colonics i think :D

I've always quite liked the idea of having one - I just don't like the idea of someone else commenting on what's coming out :)

my friend had one done and there was a whole piece of rocket came out lmao (the salad stuff - no silly rocket up your bum remarks please ;))
she lost 7lbs

you can buy DIY kits for it :) I remember clicking on a link when I read about the enemas in a diet forum (not sure if it was minimins)...

anyone fancy it? :) I have to admit if it'll equal 7lb loss I'd be interested :)

it had to be rocket :D

When I have seen on TV they always seem to comment on the amount of meat hanging around - so maybe not Dukan friendly!

i am trying to think of something innovative to do with smoked mackerel this evening - but maybe I won't bother and will just have some more chicken. how about stuffing the chhicken breast with a sort of pate made from the mackerel and the yoghurt? Oh I don't know.:(
