Ecactly the same as whats happened the other day. They have for whatever reason only just processed the transaction on my account and are saying my card details doesnt match the ones ive given them. Ive just called the bank again and there is no problem at all with my card account or details! I feel so sick. I had to make a complete idiot of myself and put the phone down though didnt i!

That is very very strange. PLEASE don't get yourself (too) upset about it though Cheryl... it's one of those stupid "the computer says no" moments...
My other half received THREE letters from the UK Inland Revenue (in the same post) on Tuesday. Each one contained his new tax code. Each one was different. I wonder whether it mattered which order he opened them in?!! IDIOTS! (Watchdog did a segment on it... we're not even bothering contacting them cos did that a fortnight ago when we received two and how did that help? We got three... so now FIVE different ones in two weeks! And, worst still, cos we don't pay tax in the UK, YOU GUYS are paying for their stupidity!!

OK another idea... ring Curry's and DEMAND the same offer from one of their shops because the mistake is obviously theirs... You can then pay by cheque or whatever there...
(these weird things do happen with cards... my other half couldn't use his at the petrol station of our hypermarket when with our guests, for instance, which was annoying as I wasn't there so he had to go use theirs and pay them in cash!! Then on Saturday, it worked when I was there with mine at the ready!!)

because there are no earnings, there is nothing to pay, just the Inland Revenue's stupid computer churning out paper and mailing it overseas at the UK taxpayer's charge!

Im not going back to them, no way. Ok things happen once but not 3 times! Ive checked with the bank twice and no problem at all.
We are still having problems with the tax office Jo. When Oliver was born i claimed working tax credit then the payments went down so much i cancelled it as was not worth doing all the paperwork for such a small amount. We are now being billed 108 or something for over payments incurred AFTER we had cancelled it and did not recieve any payments! They are claiming its for over payment but how can you over pay when you dont pay at all????
I think they all make it up as they go along

I went home at lunch with friend to go and worm puppies!!! crisis. i overwormed one, and the others pretty much spat it out. Miss pink was shivering when i left...but apparently its just the wormer working! (i hope - i feel worried sick) oh and the fact that both me and my friend got covered in puppy poo

Do you get them sterilised before selling them on? My officemate who breeds cats does... so that those who buy them don't weaken the line (or similar)...
