Hi all, had my 5th weigh in last night and have lost 2lbs. Some may say that`s not a huge weight loss, but I had a huge loss last time (9lbs in a fortnight) so was still really happy with the results. My pharmacist also said that rather than looking at each small weight loss, look at the last few as a whole and you`ll be pleasantly surprised. He`s so right! I also had a general chat with him as nobody else came in for a while, and found it interesting to discover that a minority of people who have lost shedloads of weight (around 8 stone), go away for a couple of years and then come back having gained it all back! To me, that is such a shame, as we all know how difficult sticking to the plan can be at times, not to mention the emotional rollercoaster you go thru` each week while learning to deal with your own food issues.
It got me thinking about how I will cope once I am on my maintenance phase, and how careful I will have to be to NOT let the pounds creep on. I have already got a portion plate to help with portion sizes, but I also realise that eating low fat, low calorie food will also play a huge part in my long term goals. But hey, don`t get me wrong, we all still have to live a little too! So the odd treat and indulgence will defo figure in my life too!
Sorry if this all sounds a bit profound, but would be interesting to hear from other people at target, as to how they are coping with their maintainance, and any stategies they may use. Good luck to you all, have a fab week ahead. x
