In a small tub, with a plastic spoon at my desk..

*looking for sympathy*

p.s It was all gone in 1.5 mins...

sympathy..... anyone... err.. hello?

But it's all perfectly legal Atkins food Sona ;)

Breakfast like a king, indeed... Jim, you make us drool!

I could have all that - the veggie version. However as a 5' 4" female I think the carbs and calories might prove a bit too generous. Would be lovely as an occasional treat. Mmmm.

What gets me is that most people would say that was an unhealthy meal, so how come my blood tests improved so much on Atkins?

See from that i can only have the eggs n mushrooms! :-(
cant have the sausages or black stuff (dont know what that is)

are we allowed chicken sausages on induction? i bought some yesterday from the halaal food store. Also got some chicken salami.. are we allowed THAT on induction??

Lunch was:

1 roasted chicken breast
2 chicken kebabs (thin patties)
1 slice of cheese

and it was yummy and filling!

i have had a headache all day though! trying to stay off pain killers!

Looking forward to my stirfry tonight! yumz!

s xx

That's black pudding Sona, The sausages were beef though.

Any sausage is OK, just check the carb count love.

Good morning

Jools it's all about preparation and planning, I generally plan what I'm eating tomorrow the evening before.

Supergran, ah now I understand the ref on the other thread. :)

B: Porridge and black and blue berries.

L: I'll be off to the Café as usual.

D: Lamb curry, I got the diced lamb out of the freezer this morning. I have a great recipe that a girl gave me, it's fantastic.

Here it is.

Finely chop half an onion and fry in extra virgin olive oil until brown.
Add salt to taste
Add 4 cloves of garlic and about inch root ginger finely chopped.
Add about teasp of cumin seeds
Add 2-3 green chillies finely chopped (add more or less to get the right heat!)
Chop two fresh tomatoes and add and fry untill cooked.
Add 1lb cubed raw Lamb and fry until cooked.
Now add just enough water to cover and simmer for 20 mins.
Then uncover and reduce liquid (boil rapidly) until it is the consistency you like.
Add half a teasp of garam masala
sprinkle with a generous ammount of fresh corriander.

than sounds like my type of curry!!

i would ofcourse chuck the onions, garlic and oil in and fry till light brown.. add the tomatoes and tiny bit of crushed ginger with the seasoning together and cook till tomatoes are soft and keep cooking on high heat till they very well done.. almost black.. this is called "bhuna" (notice where the curry gets its name, this is the most important part of the curry if its not "bhuna" enough it could taste uncooked)

THEN add the meat and a bit of water simmer till meat nearly done.. (add vegi of choice at this point if adding) then turn up the heat till sauce at ur consistency.. and add some fresh corriander for nice smell.

Morning all

B: Left over pork loin steak with fried eggs.
L: I'm meeting Colleen for work today.
D: Beef casserole in the slow cooker.

Sona, the recipe is from an Iranian or Iraqi, I can't remember exactly, She got it from her mum. :)

That pie looks good. Many years have passed since I last ate a pork pie.

My reaction just now? Hmmm... can I make a vegetarian, low-carb version of that?

Pretty sure I could rustle-up something that looks similar and is, at the very least, tasty!
