What are we eating today?

It's surprisingly hard to re-adapt to low carb lifestyle. I'm sure it'll be easier in a couple of days..

Oh Michael I think it's death by a thousand cuts the way you're doing it!! Would it be easier just to go totally cold turkey (literally, LOL!) I just know I couldn't mix choc etc with Atkins and survive - keeps the old carb cravings going! Induction is hard, but at least it gets a lot easier after the first couple of days. :)

Anyway, I'll shut up now. :D

B - two fried eggs
L - huge chicken caesar salad (I mean really huge)
D - my lord and master pie
S - sossies and a MiM with hazelnut butter for supper
W - loads - terribly thirsty
E - 0 hip sore will try small run tomorrow
A - 0 (will be very hard at the weekend though)

Deffo less hungry today than yesterday, also feeling more ketotic IYKWIM

I am with you WW - need to cut out everything with sugar for the first few days, gets the cravings over quicker and back in ketosis before you realise it. I have to say end of day 3 and am feeling fine, not really had any problems and have eaten when I felt hungry, I make sure I take enough to work to keep me going all day - breakfast before I go, a good snack for mid morning and afternoon and a good lunch then dinner at home, not needed supper either which tells me I have had enough during the day. I need to get my body back on track before I start having treats :)

Both true - was my approach first time around. Truth is tho that I never lost my choc cravings - it was only discipline that kept me off them - even after keeping on induction/OWL1 for 2 months. Lost my cravings for pasta, rice, bread tho.

Michael - what about trying Atkins chocolate as a more induction-friendly option? I promise I'm not on commission - but they have saved me a few times from going mad, and the Endulge milk crisp one is 1.8 carbs per bar.

Just a thought :)

i must admit, chocolate is my one thing that i've not been completely able to let go of.
but i like dark anyway, and have been having 90% stuff, just a little at a time, not every day i must add, and so far so good.

i had some milk choccies at work, and they where soooo sweet, only had 2, now that's unusual for me!

I did have a look around the shops for Atkins stuff when I started, but couldn't really see much - aside from the 'shakes. Can't be hassled ordering over the net as I live alone so getting stuff delivered is a bit awkward.

Ah it's only a couple of chocolate here and there, I think I'll be fine. If I was nailing pasta and rice every day then I would be worried!

Yeah me too. I stick mostly to the dark stuff with a couple of milk chocs thrown in here and there. I've been having the 85% green and blacks choc - only 15g carbs per 100g choc which I think is OK - a bar would normally last me several days. Early day starting again but when I was in full swing last year I didn't think choc hurt my progress too much.

I admire all you who can resist chocs tho! :D

S - MiM and hazelnut butter later, chilli cheddar from M&S - ate loads thinking it was the same as mexicana, but it's much more carby - watch out - there's sugar in it!
W - loads
E - 0
A - the plan was none, but I didn't think I would get back to my posted weight so quickly - will report back later ;)
