What are we eating today?

I've not yet started the atkins diet but am busy reading up all the facts and top tips from you guys. The mims sound like a good alternative to bread. Can anyone tell me how many you can have in one induction day and if you make one in the morning will they keep till lunchtime? Also is there a recipe book with mims in?
 
Hi Olive and welcome - check out the Mims sticky at the top, lots of recipes there.

I would think for induction, keep it to a minimum - one a day max, and drink lots of water to keep yourself regular :) I tend to only have one or two a week now - a toasted sandwich at the weekend and a portion of cheat's cheesecake
 
Aha! Thanks for pointing out the stickie hadn't noticed it. Very useful. Do the mims keep well between between from morning to lunch?

evening all.
B.egg,bacons
L.wasn't hungry
D.lamb leg steaks,mushrooms all cooked in garlic butter,with large salad
W.not enough,but trying.
 
Brunch- 4 low carb chipolatas (2g), bacon, mushrooms, scrambled eggs & 50g chopped toms
Dinner- pork & garlic stir fry made with spring onions, mushrooms, 1/3rd red pepper & spinach
S- bad me, 2 bags pork crunch
Supper- celery & 40g marmite cheddar
w- probably not enough today, will see if it knocks onto the morning weigh in
 
Afternoon! No atkins bars in sight today. Definitly going a whole week without them to see if it makes any difference. Trying a bit of owl because I wanted some fruit and nuts! *fingers crossed*

B: Raspberry almond flour muffin
L: Left over chicken & roast celeriac with garlic piri piri sauce
D: Undecided - but most likely another cheese and ham panini (delish)
S: None as yet
W: trying - probably not enough yet.
 
Afternoon

B - Josephs pitta with cheese and bacon and a soya latte yum
L - chicken salad with mayo and lemon oil
D - steak and pak choi stirfry
W - 3 litres
E - walking about
A - no

You are all being very good, unlike me, although in my defence I do have to point out that I have walked for 1 and 3/4 hours today with dogbert, and drunk lots of water.
 
B- cold flax & cream, really nice quick breakfast. Perfect for busy mornings like today when it's early gym for dd1, and normally back up for school an hour later for dd2, then nursery drop with dd3 then work. Not quite so manic today as no work.
Maybe some bacon at a friends house who knows I'm doing Atkins.
L- salad some sort of
D- chicken curry & stir fried purple sprouted broccoli with garlic & chilli

I've been bad! Very bad! For about 5 days! Mr tescos will be here in the morning with a van full of meats, cheeses, eggs, veggies and bottled water! 6lb gain! Very very naughty! And I feel s**t! Last night j really crashed from the sugar/carbs , felt awful! 142 days toll my holiday and I want to lose 30lbs by then so time to behave.

*puts wrist out to be slapped*
 
well you told yourself off good and proper ................. that saved me a job .................... come on tescos !!xx

neris and indias shepherds pie with veggies in it (Cant wait to try this as it sounds delicious)
