What can I expect?

Hi everyone!

I'm new to this site and the Cambridge diet. I have followed slimming world for the last year and lost around a stone but now I'm looking to lose my last 20lbs and am switching diets because I began cheating a little with SW.

I have my initial meeting with my consultant on Friday and was hoping someone could tell me what to expect during this and what to expect during the first part of the diet.

Hi there

Ive not seen a consultant yet but mine is popping round Sat morning.

I started yesterday as I bought some packs from a friend ( naughty I know but I wanted to get started )

I'm finding it great so far, 3 packs yesterday, I had porridge for breakfast, Butterscotch shake for lunch and chili soup for tea.

Today I had a cappuccino shake for breakfast ( made with hot water and it was FAB )
Lunch was mint choc shake, Again I used hot water and it was just like mint hot chocolate.
I will be having the chicken and mushroom soup for tea.

No side effects so far, No bad moods in fact I'm very upbeat.
I went for a 8.5 mile walk today, Had planned to do 10 but couldn't manage it but will try again Thursday and hopefully do the 10 miles.

Ive been drinking 3 to 4 ltr of water without to much trouble and cant wait to get weighed on Sat.

Please let me know how you get on Friday as Im not sure what to expect from the consultant or the 1st meeting.

For me the main thing is being in the right frame of mind.

Hey waffles everyone is different on the first few days i can tell you my experience... the first 2 days i found to be rather easy it was day 4,5&6 that were really tough i literally wanted to eat all the time and had bad cravings i did however have a huge binge fest just before starting so my body wanted the carbs i stayed strong and then from day 7 it got easier and easier still having the odd tough day but nothing bad enough to want to cheat. I was lucky did not have any of the bad side effects only a slight bad headache on a few days but water helped loads!!! Most important thing is to get your head in it if you do you will succeed. Congratulations on the stone you lost with SW - personally for me, slimming world never worked. I'm a big girl, 20 stone. & I need something that works quicker. I first started Cambridge in 2008, and i lost 4 stone in 3 months. The weight dropped off, but i didn't appreciate it like i should of & gave up. Almost 4 years later, i'm back & of course even heavier than i was then.. but i'm ready to tackle this for the last time. i will NEVER be this big again.

You can expect lots of different things from this diet. The first week is the hardest, but also the best. Your weight loss after your first weigh in will motivate you so much! Hopefully you can build a good relationship with your consultant too - because he/she will be a huge part of your journey & the motivation & encouragement from them will help you too!!
