What curry powder do you use?

I thought curry powder was free?

I know curry paste has sins as well as stuff like Maykway curry sauce mix or jars.

What sort are you using?

I normally use a tub called Bensons (not sure if this is available in UK), it is a powder and makes a really thick delicious sauce but is high in syns. Would Tesco own brand curry powder be free?

Yes, but won't do the thickening up job. I use the tesco one and add a couple of handfuls of red lentils to thicken it up (EE / Green day syn free).

(There's a good recipe for syn free onion bhajis to go with it on here as well.)

I tend to keep all the different powdered spices separately (the main ones are cumin, coriander and chilli) and just throw a blend together fresh each time.
