what would take you out of ketosis !

I had a few slices of corned beef.... and 2 ritz crackers and when i went for a wee before... ketostix was negative! GUTTED!
Im hoping its cos i just been drinking loads of water in last few hours!

I can remember someone on here saying that there ketostix were beige (negative) all the way thru there diet and they still lost a considerable amount of weight,

im sure also if you have drunk alot of water the wee can be more diluted, so i would say that the best time to check would be there first morning wee!

If I use Ketosix I always test with the first wee on a morning. In my experience being knocked out of ketosis is very much an individual thing and hard to be specific really about exactly what can happen.

I guess it depends on how established you are in ketosis and whether you are sensitive to being knocked out with any slight change in your diet. I'm sure a CDC will come on and be able to explain better than I can.

At the end of the day, I believe personally that if you have eaten anything that you believe may have knocked you out... it's done....you can't take it back....so don't stress....don't give up....focus on what you HAVE achieved already and continue straight on afterwards with your plan.....IMMEDIATELY!!!

A lot of us, me included have knocked ourselves out before and then just thought...oh sod it, I'll start again tommorow!! This can then give you permission to go on a binge and definitely make you feel worse the next morning:sigh:
