I feel a bit nosy asking these sort of questions but I find it interesting and helpful for ideas too.

Ive read about Asda meat free meatballs on here so Im trying them for tea with free tomato sauce and wholemeal spaghetti for tea.

I do find eating well costs a fair bit too. Eating junk is much cheaper maybe thats why we have a obesity issue in the country .:D

Homity pie & beans - I love this, proper winter food that sticks to your ribs!

A traditional English open vegetable pie, the pastry case contains a potatoes and an onion & leek mixture, which is then covered with cheese - (apple adds interest, but isn't traditional

I had to look up Homity pie and now I have I will definitley be making it. What do you do about the pastry ???

We are having Macaroni cheese. I add roasted red pepper to my tomato and onion layer.

I love this dish and as DH does as well I can use his cheese allowance as well.
