Whats passata???

Hi all... this might sound like a silly question but is passata tomato puree??? I see passata in ppl ingredients but haven't a clue what it is lol.....thanks in advance x

here in the uk passata refers to sieved uncooked tomatoes.
i get mine in a carton from lidl

You'll find it near chopped tomatoes and tomato puree x

Its in the tin tomato/puree section. You can buy it in bottles (more expensive) or a carton like the small juice cartons. If i'm not sure of a product that someone has mentioned, i log into a supermarket site and search for it, gives me an idea of what the packaging looks like.

You just use it in place of chopped tomatoes! It's great and versatile, and FREE!
