Get yourself a microwave rice cooker - they are fab! I wouldn't cook my rice any other way now and it's multipurpose as you can use it for steaming and the bowl for stuff like pasta and sauce or rice pudding.

Circes - I've had a micro rice cooker for yonks but for the last few years have only used it to do my veg. I can't for the life of me find the instructions (quantity of rice v water + timings etc) so wondered if you could remind me, pretty please. :wave_cry:

Dairylee Light cheese triangles are £1 for a large pack (16) in Morrisons. A bargain as I usually buy Laughing Cow Light triangles but in Asda last week I noticed they had gone up almost 20p per pack compared to the price the previous week!!!

5 Light triangles = 1 hex A.

Picked some up today. Thanks for the tip! :)

The Lakeland one is 250g rice to 900ml boiling water - on HIGH for 10 minutes, stirring after 5 minutes. Leave to stand for 2 minutes before serving. For wild and brown rice increase the cooking time to 18 minutes, stirring at 6 and 12 minutes.

But must admit I usually just bung in the rice without measuring and make sure it covered with water.
