why is this so hard?

    I started back CD about 4 weeks ago and I've only been able to stick to it for 2weeks out of those 4 weeks. Today I said ok, I'm going to ss properly and lo and behold I ate. I'm having my third pack now and I'm stuffed.

    I've decided that I'll be back to SSing on Monday until de new year as I don't have ,much else going on between now and Christmas except Christmas day so I should be ok.

    So here's to a new year.

    I always find if you say you are going to ss today then thats when you eat , just don't make yourself any promises and if you ss that would be great , its not easy ssing .

    Sit yourself down and make a list of all the reasons you want to lose weight - don't miss anything out.

    Look at it every single day, several times a day.

    Recognise why you are doing this and why you want to stick to the diet.

    Then you'll be fine

    Thanks for the tips. I will definitely try them out. Today is day 1 so I'm taking it very slowly today. I will keep you all updated.

    Don't diet anymore!
    It's all about setting your sights on a target and then let nothing stand in your way, don't live the diet by the hour, just look at the diet as something you need to get done before you reach that target (whether that target be to fit on some clothes, be a certain weight etc etc).

    When you reach that goal then time to set a new target of keeping the weight off for 12 months etc etc etc.

    Just focus on the prize and you will find the path to get there becomes much easier.

    I go on holiday on the 31 January so that is my immediate goal to lose 2 stone by then. Plus I want to go up the steps by this time. This only gives me about 2/3 weeks to lose the most amount of weight. I think that is stressing me the most. So I have cut down my target to a stone and what ever else I lose is a bonus.

    Day 1 UPDATE - Yesterday was hard especially in the afternoon because I went shopping with some friends and I was hungry (ravenous) by the time I got home at 10pm. Whilst out I had a coffee and I also had a nugget without the coating from my friend and that curbed my hunger until I got home. I had my shake and still reached for a few grains of peanuts :( On a better note, I had 3 ltrs of water yesterday and the scale looked very positive. I'm keeping my eyes on the prize. Hopefully today would be better.

    I had problems restarting until this time.It all just clicked.Before I always cheated on day 3 or 4, but this time I hung on and made it past that...since then it's been much easier :)

    Day2 progress

    I had a nice long chat with my CDC yesterday. Aas expected I put on 2lbs. I was a little relieved as I thought it was more. He set me a 2 week target which I'm aiming for but with Christmas in the picture it will be shaky. I'm just going to take each day slowly and think about what food Iwill be putting in my mouth.
