why oh why oh why?

Was so pleased with myself, been glugging the water, having just the shakes, and porridge, even stood on the scales today and they'd gone down to 10st 9lb, 2lb gone since tue...................

then

i went to the shop for the paper an hour ago, and i bought a nougart bar, a flump (marshmallow thingie) plus 10 yes 10 of these poo 10p sweetie things.

I came home and rammed them in my mouth at such speed they'd gone in a min.........................now i feel sick, sick as a dog, i'm glugging the water to try and get the sickly feeling out of my stomach, tried my fingers down my throat, but nothing.

how dumb am i :wave_cry:

oh hun, I think we have all been there, dont beat yourself up, losing weight is blooming hard. best thing to do is forget it, its done now tomorrow is a new day, get straight back to it, and remember how you felt after this and there wont be a next time :)

Have a think about why you did it at the time - was it because you felt a particular emotion or was it because it is a habit associated with going to buy a paper or going to that particular shop? Before CD I would pop into the shop opposite work and could never leave without a load of extra rubbish. I stopped going in at the beginning of my CD journey because I knew I had to change the pattern in my brain which associated the shop with buying certain products (a chicken wrap, whispa gold and chicken and pasta pot normally!!) . I was nearly out of deodorant the other day and had to use the shop. I was quite scared about what feelings it would stir but I bought the deodorant and nothing bothered me, I wasn't even tempted.

Might not work the same for you but if it is part of a habit you have, maybe buy the paper elsewhere or read it online?

If it was because you were sad/bored etc, remember that any emotion can pass without food. I got the size I am from mostly comfort eating and CD is really making me realise that emotions aren't helped by calories :(

Draw a line under it, start again fresh today and if it takes an extra week to get to target (which every chance it won't!), see it as being able to learn about your body and the way your mind works and being an investment in knowing 'you'.

As everyone has said hun draw a line under it and start a fresh. Drink some extra water and get straight back on track. We all have those moments where we give in to temptaion but as long as you get straight back on track and dont let it carry on day after day you will be fine xxxx
