Because you've eaten so little. I know, it sounds counter intuitive doesn't it, but on a diet like this you need to keep your protein and fat intake fairly regular as that maintains the fat burning. You had several days barely eating so I'd imagine your body is clinging on to whatever it gets, both water and food. If you're feeling better this week, see what a week of regular induction does before you worry. I know it's hard.

I think if you've been unwell then you need to cut your body some slack! It will work - get yourself back & healthy and it will sort its self out :)
Did you have any cough mixture or throat sweets etc?

Your body does funny things when ill. I'm sure you make up for it this week. Don't give up!
