    In the past year I have gained almost 4 stone.

    In this time ALL my interests have gone, my friends have gone, my love for work has gone. Everything = GONE!

    I got married 12 months ago and was so happy, now 2 days after my wedding anniversary I am in tears. Married life is good, why cant I get happy with everything else?

    Are you depressed? Maybe you should pop into your GP and say how you feel. Weight gain can be really depressing! I totally know the feeling!! Lifestyle changes will definitely help too. Things like getting an early night in bed, no alcohol, no caffeine, eating well etc. Pamper sessions-things like doing a facemask or getting a manicure, whatever makes you feel better :)

    Everything's not gone-you're happy in your marriage, you've lost weight, you have work :) You're doing better than you think you are:)

    For the weight loss and social life, joining a gym or doing an exercise class could help. You tend to meet the same people there all the time so you can rebuild your social life that way. Otherwise, I'd suggest learning a new skill or hobby and meet people that way..

    When you are feeling better, your love of work will return.. once you start one thing and succeed at it, the feeling of achievement will spur you on to do more and more.

    Calorie Counting, controlled carbs, good nutrition and Slimpods.
    Take a good look at the food you are eating. Make sure it is nutritionally sound and de-stress your life.

    It took me a long time to understand this and it wasn't until my old boss's wife popped into the office and was talking about the symptoms she suffered when she was anaemic that suddenly things started to click into place. Then I realised how poor my diet was due to being too busy at work to eat properly at lunch time causing me to get home and reach for the easiest (and junkiest) food in sight.

    Improve the quality of your food and everything else should start to seem brighter again.
