Well it's that time of year again where I dread getting my winter clothes sorted.

I hate paying a lot of money for a decent coat in a size that I wish I wasn't but hey ho.

My problem is boots though, I have wide calves and I was just wondering if there is any other ladies with the same problem and what do you do about it.

Is there any styles that suit the larger calf and if so where do you go shopping? Is there any websites that are useful?

I just bought a really nice winter coat in Primark for £25 - last winter's coat is really big on me now, but I hope to be a size or two smaller next winter so I didn't want to splash out. Dorothy Perkins/Evans often do good value winter coats - I think my last coat, from Evans, was about £40.

New Look do wide fit boots, as do Marks and Sparks. Ditto Evans.

my problem is that my feet are wider too, and Clarks shoes do not fit. i have bought a pair of ankle boots in brown from Ambrose Wilson, they were only £8 in the sale. Worth a look x

Really? I have very wide feet, and find that Clarks are one of the only brands that fit me.

I have the same problem and unfortunatly last years winter boots are on their last legs.

Just been on Evan's website and they've finally got their winter stock in and some of them are lovely.

Both of my decent pairs of boots (knee length and mid calf) have decided that they really want to give up the ghost at the same time, and now really is not a great time for anything else to be going wrong for me!

I can't afford to spend a huge amount on new boots, so will have to keep an eye out for any bargains I think.

    Ebay?

Its a personal choice, but i love a bargain - second hand or not.

I think if you ask the seller what the boots are round the part you need measured then you can give it a go!!!!

search for wide fit/evans/ etc will help and there are new boots on there all the time - !!!

Coats - i got a lovely wool coat for £30 from Primark. Love it.
