If you're like me, when on a diet the one thing you miss is condiments and sauces - whether it mat be mayo or a creamy dressing. If this sounds like you I have a recipe you must try. And the best thing? Its fat free and ZERO syns!!

You can use it as a salad dressing or as a pasta salad dressing - it really has been a life-saving substitute for the things I miss.

You can also make it any flavour your want. Just choose your favourite herb/greenery of your choice! I'm a fan of rocket and watercress. You could also use basil to give it that pesto taste!

  • 500 g fat-free natural yoghurt
  • sea salt
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons English mustard
  • a small bunch of basil or coriander (you can substitute for a herb (etc) of your choice)
  • 1 clove of garlic , peeled
  • ½ a fresh red chilli
  • 2 tablespoons white wine or cider vinegar
  • juice of ½ lemon
 
Sounds lovely, I used to make something similar when I was having dairy.

You might want to amend the recipe to state mustard powder though, as regular jarred mustard does have syns.
