Zone Diet v Slimming World

Just started a course which advocates the Zone Diet (40:30:30) I have been happy doing Slimming World but I can't get to a group at the moment and online just doesn't work for me.
Has anyone tried Zone diet - I am sceptical and might just stick to what I know!
 
It basically means you have 3 meals and 2 snacks every day all of which should be balanced 40% carbs 30%protein 30% fat. It seems so complicated compared to SW.
 
Its sounds quite like SW to me, if you think 33% meat 33% carbs, 33% veg and fruit?

Stick to what you know - SW is simple and works. How would you go out for a carvery on 'zone' sounds very non sociable to me!

I dont know the ins and outs tbh but does sound complicated!

Yeah I think SW is the way to go...for now anyway. The really scary bit is that fruit counts as carb so does fat free yogurt. So my healthy "free" breakfast doesn't fit in and they say have some almonds for protein with it but then I use up syns on something I don't particularly want.
The idea is to avoid sugar rushes and encourage your body to burn fat (I think)
