i see adverts on telly with people sitting down to a meal of 2 fish fingers...
feeling super hungry today, but working hard to make sure that i dont over do it with the portions! - keeping myself occupied as much as i can! - i am still feeling really positive about my new healthy way of life - i think i might actually be able to stick to this for the long term now that i...

i lost 8 stone a couple of years ago and when i started i felt as if i had such a huge mountain to climb - but i broke it down into 1 stone goals... and it was much better that way - i wish you the best of luck!
eating out is a big killer for me too! - i love pub lunches with hubby and also takeaways in the evening while watching telly - i am still allowing myself those kind of treats once in a while so that i dont feel totally deprived!
well done for quitting smoking and for tackling the potential weight gain at the same time! i quit smoking a few years ago and feel so much better for it... now i just need to shift this big belly and my mission will be complete! lol xxx
never be upset by a 2lb weight loss! - slow and steady wins the race, and you will be surprised at how quick those 2lb losses add up - you will have lost a stone before you know it and then you will feel like you have really achieved something, so i hope you will stay positive!
i am sure there are loads of people that feel the same as you.. but you must remember that its all about how you feel about yourself - its important for you to be happy with your weight, so as long as you are aiming for a healthy weight, it doesnt matter if you have a few pounds to lose or a few...
hi there! i can totally identify with you wanting to lose weight as part of a healthy change of life rather than a diet - thats exactly what i am doing this time - fed up with losing loads of weight on 'diets' and then putting it all back on because they are strict to stick to! - i am calorie...

another good day today! - woke up feeling like my belly is a bit flatter - i dont weigh myself so i always enjoy the feeling of various body parts feeling a bit smaller because it lets me know my hard work is paying off!

well i have finally decided what to make for tea - hubby wants salad, but i hate salad unless its in a sandwich! so i am having.....
tesco southern fried chicken portion with a packet of mediterranean rice fusions and some peas and sweetcorn - total cals for tea - 650
that leaves me enough...
i love freddo bars, had one last night with my quavers! - i also love the mini packets of beef flavour space invader crisps - i love starburst and curly wurlies but my teeth are a bit dodgy at the moment so i cant do anything too chewy lol
hi there sweetie, i have really enjoyed reading your diary.. you seem to have a very strong plan in force, and you know what you want to achieve which is brilliant! - you seem to be great at resisting temptation, which is one of my strong points.. but the trouble is that when i crack and give...
well done for making a start! - you are doing well - i used to do slimming world but changed back to calorie counting, not sure why, i always go back to that in the end! anyway, good luck on your journey - you will do it for your boys! xxx
hi elaine - dont feel too bad about your slip up with the wine - just set your mind on having a better week from this point on - i dont drink alcohol at all, apart from the odd tipple at christmas time, so luckily i dont get that temptation - but every time i drive past macdonalds, now thats a...

I have been calorie counting for years and there are certain foods that have become the basics that I really couldn't live without when calorie counting - here is my list and the reasons why I love each product!
WARBURTONS THINS - only 100 cals each and they are so soft and yummy - i use them...

glad i am not the only one that found no change in the excess hair! i am just glad that i am pretty fair skinned with pale hair or i think i would go crazy!
Hi guys.. my name is Holly and I will be 40 years old in November this year.
At my highest weight I was 22 stone - at my lowest adult weight 2 years ago I was 14 stone and fitting nicely into my size 16 skinny jeans.
But as you can guess, I had lost the weight too fast (8 stone in 10 months)...
hi there, i am new here too, but not new to dieting! - whenever i had a wobble i found the best way around it was to try new meal ideas and recipes - things can get pretty stale, especially if you have been in the same routine for a year! - i used to find that new foods would get my interest...
hi there, i hope you are getting off to a good start - i know exactly how you feel - fed up of losing loads of weight then putting all back on - i am in it for the long haul this time - i wish you the best of luck
i hated my legs so much when i was at my highest weight of 22 stone - i cant say that i love them now, i still have my issues with them, (a bit of sagging on my inner thighs) but they are considerably thinner and more toned now that they ever have been and its all through walking, nothing else -...
a couple of years ago i lost 8 stone in 9 or 10 months - i came down from 22 stone to 14 stone. i would be lying if i said that i didnt have a bit of sagging on my upper arms, inner thighs and on my bum....but over all i was quite pleased with the fact that my skin didnt get really loose and...
i agree, there are some things that just NEED white bread with them... for me, bacon sandwiches have to have white bread! and also if i am going to dip bread in an egg, it has to be white bread! lol ...
hi jules! it is so great to hear from yet another person that knows what it is like - i am so glad to hear that we both have our minds in gear right now, and you are right, we can do it !!! xxx
hi tangerine12! thank you for the lovely welcome - i am so glad i took the plunge and joined this site - isnt it awful when you work hard and lose all that weight and then it all just creeps back on, why do we do it? lol - every time i lose the weight i tell myself that i wont let it go back on...
i think you are doing extremely well, and take it from my personal experience, losing the weight quickly gives you an amazing feeling at the time, but the faster you lose it the faster it can come back on if you slack off the healthy eating even a little bit - i have lost count of the times i...
i am losing weight because i have realised that when i am not eating healthy and losing weight i tend to let myself go in other ways - like i dont bother dying my hair, wearing make up, shaving my legs! lol - almost as if i feel i am not worth it when i am not making the effort to lose weight -...
its so comforting to see that i am not the only one that this happens to - i do the same thing every year - lose 8 stone in 8 or 9 months, then christmas comes and it all goes out the window with the intention of starting fresh in the new year - but then i cant get my head back into eating the...
i think its important to have the odd treat, as long as you dont let that treat lead you to another and then another like i used to do! - as soon as i had eaten that one treat my brain would automatically say 'well, you have done the damage now, you might as well have that chocolate too' or...
i used to really struggle with my water intake - but now i use one of the filter jugs and i keep the filtered water in the fridge - i didnt realise how bad my tap water tasted until i started drinking it filtered! - the coldness of the water also helps me - cant stand room temperature water!
i have suffered with pcos for many years, and i do believe that it can have a real impact on weight loss for some people - as others have said, it affects different people in different ways - i find that i can still lose weight quite rapidly despite the pcos, but if i fall off the wagon even a...
i gave up white bread 10 weeks ago and i feel better for it - carbs are a big downfall for me - but now i feel so much less bloated its unbelievable! - i only eat wholemeal warburtons thins now, and i actually prefer them to normal sliced bread now xxx
this used to be a big problem for me - i used to weigh each day and get really annoyed if i couldnt see a loss - the best thing i ever did was ditch the scales and go and weigh at the local chemist once a week instead - it meant i could see bigger weight losses and i didnt have to see the silly...
i drink about 4 pints a day too - i used to really struggle because i was drinking ordinary tap water - but then i started using one of those filtering jugs that you keep in the fridge and i have found it much easier since then - you dont realise how awful some tap water can taste until you have...
i think its certainly harder to shift the weight when you have struggled with it for a very long time... i was overweight from the age of 5 and i have struggled ever since and i will be 40 this year - i can lose several stone really fast, its keeping it off that becomes the struggle because i...
bread is my major downfall - followed by junk food like macdonalds and pizza - i know its terrible but i just dont get excited over veg and salad and fruit!
Hi guys,
