    I agree with the others, week 1 is the toughest and it really does get easier (bar the odd day). Wait until your first weigh in, it will definitely all seem worth it then. And if you get through today unscathed(!) then you will feel really proud of yourself tomorrow.

    Are they more pronounced than they usually are? Have you got any spots anywhere else? There are usually spots on the tongue anyway but if they are painful I would keep and eye on them and go to see the GP if it doesn't get better.

    Someone in one of the other posts explained that ketones are excreted from the body through waste, sweat and also from breathing them out so cleansing the stomach won't necessarily help with the bad breath because it's coming from the lungs instead.
