I love the Slimming World magazine. Especially the "what's new" pages... Anyone know when i can buy the next issue (in shops I mean not at group as I no longer attend classes)? I already have the Aug/Sept one.

Lamb Shank The latest Slimming World magazine features a "Tescos Simply Cook Lamb Shank in Mint Gravy" @ £3. You can microvwave it too which is handy. I had it the other day with steamed veg and a small jacket potato. Its free on red and EE x x

So true! Generally my mum keeps her diabetes under good control, especially when on the slimming world plan which seems to help her a lot! She doesn't need her glucose tablets too often but snacks on things like digestive biscuits or drinks coke when she feels she needs it so I'm wondering...

My Mum is diabetic and sometimes needs to take glucose tablets when her blood sugar level is low. Can anybody tell me how many syns are in the tablets (any brand)? Or other low syn snacks that could be used instead of glucose tablets x

Hi Taurus, my Mum has an underactive thyroid - she has been doing slimming world too and had lost lots of weight. Stick with it I promise you it will work! Maybe you need to up the dosage of thyroxine?

Is there such a thing? I know there is a recipe on the slimming world website but are there any jars of sauce that aren't too bad syn wise (I shop at Tescos mainly). I LOVE carbonara.

I agree Lexiedog - but with slimming world you have to have your healthy extras - you couldn't get away with living on muller lights and mug shots x

I really don't like long life milk but my colleagues insist on using it for our teas and coffees at work lol. I am guessing I can't use it as part of my Healthy Extra A which I normally do with the milk in my tea, so can anyone tell me the syn value for long life skimmed milk x x
