    Katherine's journey

Another great 100% day. Three shakes only and a lot of water. Feeling so good, and looking forward to goal, where the real work begins. I have a plan for refeeding in place. As a diabetic, I have to be a little more careful to keep my sugar levels stable, but I think I have it worked out about...

    Katherine's journey

Hi, Yes, I guess it does look a little confusing - sorry. I was placed on diabetes medication, and one of the side effects is an appetite suppressant. I had quite an extreme reaction, and found it almost impossible to eat, so the weight fell off. I was on Atkins induction, so low carb anyway...

Anyone else's weightloss abit rubbish =/

Thank you Chi and starlight. I am an Atkins girl, and had huge problems eating when first put on diabetes medication. It is an appetite suppressant and I had quite an extreme reaction, hence the huge wait loss. Thankfully, my GP is an absolute darling, who fully supports and monitors me...

Anyone else's weightloss abit rubbish =/

My problem is the other way. I am loosing too fast (I never thought I would hear myself say that) and although I planned for eight weeks, may have to stop earlier. I did wonder, do some of us have really high metabolisms that allows us to loose really, really quickly, others lower so slower...

    Sound like diabetes?

In the main I absolutely agree with you. I think it's because I now know just what diabetes can do, and it's so scary, that I would tell anyone who suspected they may have it to be checked, better safe than sorry. :-)

Has anyone had a cowboy to do a Job for them

My friend has just paid £2,000 for a small amount of fencing, about 20 square meters of decking, and a handrail put up AND it took 11 weeks to do. I think that qualifies as ripped of by a cowboy. :-(

    VLCD using meal replacements...

I spoke to S&S yesterday, they say 3 shakes is fine, but to be very careful of sodium deficiency. They advised water flavouring so I bought a couple. I had 3.8 BG today, but I think that may have been a bad strip. My BG's are always in the 4's or very low 5's. I am going stop one Metformin...

    Katherine's journey

Hi Lyndzi, I'm not doing pack's just shakes. Even just shakes is really easy. The weight is dropping so quickly, it's really unbelievable. Day 17 done 100% Today I hit healthy BMI, only by .2 within the healthy range, but I did it!! Really happy today. :-)

    Katherine's journey

Another day of 100% all done. The days are going so quickly, and I feel great. Had a look on the scales tonight, I am now just .4 away from a normal BMI. That is something I really didn't think I would see. I am going to order some water flavour's as the amount I need to drink is getting harder...

    VLCD using meal replacements...

Hi again :-) The diet is from a study carried out at the University of Newcastle, and hence named the Newcastle diet. The idea is to rid all visceral fat from around the organs, especially the pancreas. The study showed that 12 and then 18 months later 7 of the eleven who participated in the...

    Saggy skin

I use Fushi Virgin organic coconut oil and it's dreamy. It is oily so you don't need a lot. Put a small amount in the palm of you hand and rub them together just to warm it a little, then use. Since I began using it, and drinking loads of water, my skin is the best it has been in years. You can...

    My Diary :)

The shakes are filling. I found that for a couple of minutes after finishing one, I still felt hungry, next minute really full. This diet is hard, but it really works, and that is what we need to remember when times get a little hard. - well done!

Well WI has been and gone, and another 12lb has gone as well. I truly didn't think this amazing weight loss was possible. I am so thrilled. Is it possible to loose too much weight?

Hello lovely S&S'rs. I wonder, is it possible to loose too much weight too quickly on S&S? I don't mean in terms of loose skin etc, but health wise? I take a range of vitamins, minerals and supplements to counterbalance any deficiency I may have. My reason for asking, is I have lost quite a...

I can't believe a quarter of the diet time has passed, it's just whizzed by. 6 more weeks to go, then how I manage my diet I'm not really sure. I don't know if this will help, but if you do some really good cardio work each day, your weight just slides off.
