Taking a Planned break.

Likes to post, and eat.
I everyone.

Sorry if this has already been explained.

I am going on holiday next week (all inclusive Cruise!!) and planning to take a 1 week break from Slim and Save.

Would you treat this as a normal 7 day re-feed or increase calories and carbs day by day? Or do some people just wake up and eat for a week then go back to plan?

I am feelin super positive and, for the first time, enjoying the plan. Not feeling hungry at the moment but cannot continue on the ship as a) don't have enough shakes to take and b) don't think it is allowed on the cruise liner.

Any help would be much appreciated :)

Has anyone experienced anything similar? Taken a few days of (intentionally)? Just want to gain as least as possible x

Hi, I went to Disneyland in July. Originally I was going to stay on plan but then realised how unrealistic I was being.

My plan was to eat low carbs and have one treat meal and an ice cream. (I don't drink)

When we got to breakfast there was 75 tonnes of bread, cereal with full fat milk, fruit in syrup, nutella, cheese and cooked meat. In the end I ended up filling up on toast and mini baguettes, I wasn't happy but I had no other choice really. I also had cereal and fruit and ham (and nutrlla in bread!).

Eating out was very expensive so we did pinch a few (20?!?!) bread rolls and when I was hungry if have half. Luckily, it didn't take much to fill
Me and I didn't do this every day.

For lunch and teas I had salads. Some healthier than others, my children and husband always had burgers, chips, lasagne but I was ok. I was always mindful of stepping on my scales at home. I had a couple of sweets (I bought ones I didn't really like for the kids.). I did have one proper, homemade pizza which was ok, a bit overrated, maybe I'd built it up
Too much but it wasn't that nice!

I did walk for miles and miles and miles everyday round the 2 parks.

At the airport I impulse bought a huge bag of maltesers and scoffed most of them. Felt SICK!

We were there for 5 days, got home late Friday night and I went straight to bed. When I got up
The Saturday I had put on 5lb and I went straight back on it, the ketosis kicked in very quick and the next week I had lost 8lb.

You can enjoy yourself (I enjoyed 'normal' food, salads, chicken, avocado, kidney beans pinchig a few fries - never ordered them myself!) I never did have my Ben and Jerry's because I was so full after my meals. So I suppose it's up to you if you fancy a delicious, one off blowout or a sensible, healthy ish week off where you won't feel horribly guilty after each meal. Either way it's your choice.

Good luck x x x

Thanks hun :)

Know what you mean about Disneyland I was there for two weeks in May!

I do not plan to gain that much haha! Part of me wishes we weren't all inclusive >.< as the mounds and mounds of food are just a nightmare for me. I'm fine until I see it and then... Well then it's just there isn't it >.<

I start my new job the day after I get back! And have only recently (yesterday!) purchased new clothes and they just fit so I'm just hoping I don't put a stone on!!!!!

I was going to attempt SW/Atkins/JUDD/some sort of diet while I was there to save grace but realise that I am almost certainly going to gain weigh whatever I do.

Well done for only 5lbs (must have been all the walking :p) and for getting it straight back off! That's awesome x
