140lbs+ to lose - walking it off!

ROFL excellent post there Essie, very funny! And well done on the arrival of totm :D

You are back in the swing of things and I bet you'll do brilliantly at next WI - just watch the whole suffocated by boobs thing until then :D xxx

Hehe, well supposedly inverted yoga postures (upside down) are good for the internal organs. Sadly they also have an unfortunate side effect of a potential broken collar bone and death by asphyxiation. When i was a kid I was always flinging myself into handstands and doing cartwheels at any given opportunity, oh to be young again. I can't even pretend that once I've lost weight things will be any easier. My boobs are going to be drooping like a cocker spaniels ears, so I'm likely to give myself a couple of black eyes!

Weigh-in day tomorrow. Dreading it. Will be annoyed with the universe if I haven't lost this 2lbs, I've been mega on track so old Moonie better not have scuppered my chances. I'd actually LOVE to be able to put 19stone 13 in my info box on the left handside <---- and if I can't I'm going to have a mega strop. So, if anyone has any weight loss fairy dust they'd like to sprinkle my way then please do.
Keep it up ladies! Much love xx

Looks what the scales said this morning! Woo!! However....I'm only logging it as a 2lb loss this week because when I switch my scales over to pounds it says 279.6 so I'm going with 280lbs. Basically, I don't believe my scales haha. Either way in 4 stone down in 4 months! I know my weight loss has slowed down now so I'm glad to make it here and now I can go into the next phase expecting it to be a lot slower.

Most happy with how my life is changing for the better, but I can't wait to see what else is in store around the corner.

So so happy for you , I remember that feeling so well of getting into the 19's,
You are doing amazing and here's to another great week xxx

Thanks Vonny, it does feel good, I did a happy wiggle on the scales this morning :)

Well done on your loss :D It feels so good to get into the next set of numbers on the scales. You will be in the 18s before you know it xx

Thanks! It's felt like I've earned every single ounce this week, battling against crazy star week and general weight loss slow down. The 18s seem distant to me right now, but get there I definitely shall, thanks hun xx

Thanks all, how silly it is to get excited at a set of numbers shifting on a scale, but thems the facts, it feels great!

I am feeling so much better for reducing my carb intake over the past 4 days. I've been trying to stick under 40g of carbs and the difference in the puffiness of my face is just stupid! I didn't know puffy carb face was even a thing?! Apparently it's a well known fact? Clearly I've been living under a carbohydrate rock for the past 38 years.

It's absolutely chucking it down outside, which seriously sucks. Where the frick is this sun that we usually get in May?

Can I just put out there that Blackpool would be a fab place for a WEMITTS meet up! Cheap b&bs and lots of things to do. Hint hint hint. Has there ever been a meet-up before?

Well done on the 19's - dropping a stone bracket is exciting. Four stone in four months is a amazing acheivement!

I can't wait until I officially hit the 22's I was there/am there on my home scales on morning weighs before my blip but the lowest I got in group was 23.05 as it's an evening weigh so am hoping in a fortnight i'll be officially there :)

You're right Vonny, of course. It is exciting but I do sometimes laugh at happy/sad the read out from a machine can make me!

Snow you are doing awesome! Is it psychologically difficult having a morning weigh in at home and then group weigh-in in the evening? Or have you got used to and expect a gain in the evening?

If the scales were consistent it would be fine I think as I know you weigh more at night. It's not really a gain. The thing that gets me is that that sometimes the morning weigh is only are 0.5 out from the evening weigh and sometimes it's 5lbs and I don't think that can just be what I eat during the day as I eat light most Tuesdays. For a while they were exactly 3lbs off so I knew what to expect which I preferred but now i can't really predict what it will be so as long as the morning weigh is going down I assume offical weigh in will be okay I actually have my finishing appointment with the study next week and then will not be obligated to daily weigh - I imagine it will take some time to break the habit though.

Yeah, like you say it's not really a gain but it's a pity it's inconsistent. I'd forgotten you were doing that research thing. What is the research about? Some experts say that daily weighing can be really beneficial for people that tend to yo-yo, because people tend to stop weighing and put weight on, but if they made a commitment to weigh each day it would keep them focussed. I'm in two minds about daily weighing myself. If I fancy a weigh in I do it, I never feel guilty about it but also have to prepare myself for the numbers to be crazy.
