Hi everyone :wavey: this is my 1st time ever on a forum, been reading through some of your posts and seeing how much support you give each other + i thought i have to join in. I have done cambridge diet in the past, a while ago now, but only ever done it for a few months leading up to a holiday or something, so i got down to a size 16 but never reached my goal weight. This time i am giving myself enough time on this diet to actually reach a healthy bmi yey!! Im on day 1 today.. going well so far, my 1st weigh is on thursday so 6 days in, cant wait to be in ketosis and see that 1st big loss! Im very excited about it all at the moment + need to keep that feeling the next few days as i know it will tough getting in to ketosis. So will be on hear to disctact myself, get advice, share my story and offer any encouragement i can to you all :) i look foward to speaking to some of you. xxx

Hi

Welcome and good luck! If you stick to the rules you'll see amazing losses! It's not easy, as i'm sure everyone on here would attest to, but you soon forget all that when the weight starts to shift!

Coming on here is a godsend to me - I love it. It's so motivational, and people on here really do know what you are going through.

All the best!!

aww thanks lynne :) yes i remember from past experience that its deffinately not easy, but i no when you get past the 1st week and see yourself changing for the better its sooo worth it!! I have a long way to go but im just so excited to be the person i've always wanted to be + i trully believe that this diet will enable me to get there. Its all about being in the right frame of mind i think + being very determined which i am both this time. I see from your ticker that you are doing amazing and are half way to your goal. That must be an awesome feeling well done!!! yes i think this site will help me loads especially chatting to people in the same situation. Last time i did it i never even new about the site and i felt so lonely + deprived + like no one knew what i was going through haha this time i see it completely different and look foward to hearing every ones experiences as were all in the same boat. What step are you on and how are you finding it?

Thank you! I'm doing SS+ and I did one week of SS - I like the idea of having an evening meal, so i can feel relatively normal!! I love SS+ and i'm still losing quite a bit on it, but i do stick to the rules religiously!! I'm not going to pay all this money and cheat!

You're head has definitely going to be in the right place, if it's not, it's like some kind of torture and you will suffer and everyone around you will suffer too. You've done it before, so you know what to expect. You can't muck about on it.

I've done this before, and the first few weeks on it I did find difficult, but I'm well into the swing of things now and as soon as the weight starts to move, you just want to carry on for as long as you can.

I may get to 2stone and maybe move to 810... I'll have to wait to see how I feel when i get there. Yes, I am halfway to my goal - which is 11stone - and that goal may change!!

It's great, I love CD. People say its not healthy and it's extreme - well it's not healthy being overweight either - so what would you prefer?! lol

All the best, i'm sure I'll see you around here lots. I'm off home now to nurse my injured OH, who came off his motorcycle on Monday and is completely immobile... this is going to a long and arduous journey - for me!! lol Wish me luck! I'm no nurse! lol

my cd lady suggested that i do ss+ for the 1st week to make getting into ketosis abit easier, so im going to have 4 shakes a day for the 1st week then move to ss for the remainder of my journey. I would love to have a small meal but i just think it'l make me slip up so im better just sticking to the packs. However if it works for you i bet that little meal is lush + makes you feel half human :) haha.

Thats fab that your into the swing of things, and you have your options open to you regarding moving up the steps. In the past when ive done ive never got to goal weight (but i never really planned on staying on it for the length of time it would take to reach it... only a couple of months) but this time im sticking with it untill i reach my goal def and moving up the steps when close to my goal. Seems sooo far off but i can't wait :)

awww sorry to hear about your OH :( hope he makes a speedy recovery and good luck. Speak soon x

Hey hun, sorry i wrote a reply yday but doesn't look like its sent :S sorry to hear about your OH i hope he makes a speedy recovery + good luck being his nurse :)

day 2 for me today, yday went really well... im hoping today isn't to bad, i know it won't last long though just have to tough it out! Im on SS, would loveeee to have that little meal on SS+ bet it makes you feel half human, but im sticking with SS for now to avoid slipping up.

I agree with your comment about negative critism from others, i think its because they haven't got a clue about how the diet works, but in that case they should ask or keep stum haha only my parents know at the moment, going back to uni on tuesday after easter hols, and might tell my close friends but will see how i feel, might try + leave it aslong as poss before telling them as i dont like people waiting for me to slip up. Hope your having a good day today speak soon. x
