1st WI

Hi All, just to update you, i had my 1st WI this evening and lost 12lbs. I am ever so pleased, but its been a tough week, as i am a returner.

I am finding it harder this time round then the 1st time, but am not going to give up. i am finding the social side of things the hardest, as i always used to go out for a lovely meal 1-2 times a week, but then again i can still socialise without eating.

Thank you all for your kind words and support, its sooo damn hard though, but i am taking each day at a time and keep looking at pictures of myself when i was slimmer and not to forget the wonderful support from all of you.... :)

Hey Fox, to tell you the truth i am not really sure, i think because i did it for 8 months before and was more mentally prepared, because it was new to me then, and then i let myself go a bit and now i know what to expect, i don't like the soups anymore. but i never ever made any meals out of my soups, shakes, e.t.c.

I think i need to do that now, cos all i like are the bars and the porridge, and shakes.

i really don't know, bit confused in my head right now and have been thinking to myself here we go again.

Well I did it the first time in 2007 for my wedding so I had a great goal! Then went and had 18 months of pure indulgence and put 3 stone back on. This time round I am reveling in it because I know exactly what to expect and I know it will work in a very short time.

I found it really liberating the second time. But I don't want there to be a third!!!

Come on, chin up, you know what you're doing just get on with it and be a big loser.

It's not about liking the flavours/tastes as you will know if you've done it before.
Try not to think of the packs as replacing food and trying to taste good - they don't, but they are palatable.
Just think of them as a vehicle to give you the nutrients and minerals you need.
Don't feel deprived. You are achieving all the time you are in abstinence.
If you can't stand the taste then hold your nose when you swallow the shakes or soups. A large proportion of what we think we taste is actually smell. Then have a coffee or drink of water to hand to take the taste away- job done.
