2 shakes a day??

So since some time last week, maybe friday or thurs, I've managed 2 shakes a day, tops... with yesterday beng the worst, i had half a flapjack (urghghghghgh) and one shake...

I dont feel ill - im still losing, i lost 4.5lbs this week (and thats after my 3 day blip... tho i did weigh in 3 days late.. but considering i prolly put 5 lbs on, not bad)

I just dont feel hungry - and i dont want to have them just for the sake of it.

Im also having really bad period pains, so i just wanna sit on my comfy sofa snuggled up!

I also dont drink nearly as much water as everyone seems to think you need to... and its having no effect. After all your body is pretty good at telling you when you NEED things.

Im just wondering if any of you secretly skip shakes from time to time?


Oh and its my birthday on the 6th - so im having a day off, and looking forward to it sooo much. There is no point making myself miserable on my birthday and hating the diet so i just end up cheating!
Lol ive lready planned the meals for the day!!!!


Anyways... dispite the blip, and the lack of shakes.... ive lost 1st in 2 weeks... not bad! (i know my ticket says 13lbs.. but weighed this morning and that 1lb is goooone!!!)


now if i could just get rid of my totm... this pill is rubbish!!!

I couldn't survive on only 2 shakes,i find it difficult enough to survive on 3 & you are suppose to have all 3 so your body gets all the right nutrients to stay healthy,plus your be less inclined to break the diet!!! anyway well done on your weight loss!!! caz xx
 
Hi there The last time I was on LT i only had 2 shakes a day and I failed miserably. This time I'm having all 3 and plenty of water and it's working. I've only craved once and that was a chicken tikka I made last nite for the family. God my mouth was watering. Anyway good luck and keep going it'll b worth it chick x
 
LT has everything you need to survive if you only have 2 shakes your body will go into starvation mode and you will find that you wont lose as quickly as your body will hang on to anything , i know its hard when you dont feel hungry but please try or you are gonna make yourself ill xx

The body wont go into starvation mode if it is getting a regular supply of food (or in this case shakes) which it is... And starvation mode takes time to kick in.

Last year (due to heartbreak) i didnt eat ANYTHING for a week solid, and only drank water... it took the full week for me to get ill... (and then pass out lol)

And to be totally honest, my eating habits were awful before, and id only eat maybe once a day (mind thats going back a while)

So im not really worried about only having two...

My pharmacist also told me how most of the men drink the female shakes and only have 2 a day.


I dont see why i should take on extra cals if i dont need it and my body isnt giving me any signs i do. Maybe it's perhaps beacuse i don't do a lot during the day... so i dont burn the cals off so fast.

I had my blood pressure checked and its fine and i also had some blood work done (just a check up) and the only thing i lack is zinc... which ive always been deficient in.


Im not doing it because i want to loose weight faster, im just not having them because my body isnt needing them... If i thought for a second it made me ill id drink all three! (i do actually rly like them!) =D

But part of the reason iw as over weight was because i ate when i didnt need to... So how is this different?


And finally, every person is different, and therefore require different things, so therefore it is possible im getting all i need from two shakes!



right im off to ice some cookies i made for halloween (i didnt even taste the mix or anything... how good am i?! lol)

I am sorry but I have to agree with Cathy - this post / thread is very worrying and full of a lot of very inaccurate advice.
 
The best source of information would be your local Lipotrim supplier of the Lipotrim head office, my understanding is that you should be having all your packs each day to make sure you are getting the correct nutrients but as always if you need medical advice then talk to your chemist or your GP for his/her advice.

Minimins is a great support forum but we can recommend deviating from any of the diet plans as the diets are only proven safe when followed correctly.

I know its very important to get the correct amount of electrolytes daily, to prevent serious illness? I wouldn't risk it for 100 odd cals!!

The great thing about ketosis is that it stops the hunger. The bad thing about ketosis is that it doesn't let you know when you need food.

You don't know that yet. The side effects could show at a much later date ...like when kidney problems set in

That's excellent :clap: Of course, it could be more if you have all your shakes. I've noticed over the years that people who don't drink all there shakes do tend to have smaller weight losses. Not sure why this is. I agree with you that you probably wouldn't have gone into starvation mode, but something weird seems to happen when people don't have the full quota. Besides, remember protein is good to help preserve your muscle mass. Are you absolutely sure that you are having enough to do this on 2 shakes? How would you know?

Though I see your weightloss is excellent, as expected in the early days, who knows what they might have been had you had more.

I know it's hard to accept that you probably do need more. Any experience of more traditional diets, and you'll be thinking 'less is better', but VLCDs don't work that way. They are extreme and need to be used responsibly.

Of course, it is your body, and you can chose to do whatever you want with it, but I would really advise you to do the diet the way that years and years of research has proved is the healthiest way.

Because I want to eat on my birthday, as I don't see food as the enemy as many people do...and if i did, then i'd be scared to eat when i came off LT. Everyone needs to find a way for the diet to work for them. I never ate out of comfort, i simply ate to much when i didnt need to. And food is a large part of society and being social - which is no denying,and lets face it... most people have some sort of special meal on there birthday. And every birthday so far i have eaten (even when slim) So why would i take something away from one of the special days I have a year when I know without it I'll just be thinking what a rubbish day it is (cos lets face it, its a hard diet, and not that many people, although some do, find it fun) So why on earth would i not allow myself a day off for my birthday... i could go on about how this is the first birthday i wont see any family or friends, and how taking away eating too would all be too much... But the simple fact is I want to eat. And i don't feel i shouldn't.


You know i didnt start this thread for people to pick apart, or find fault in. I have not recommended anyone does what I am. And need I point out, im not doing it on purpose, it just happend - and all this week i have said to my OH how i need to bring that 3rd shake back in.
And Im kind of disappointed with some of the criticisms. Yes please point out that the shakes have things i need in them (which im aware of) But perhaps try not to twist it into me giving mis-advice or advice at all!!!

Ketones prevent the body from feeling hungry, your brain doesn't get those signals! I never feel hungry, i could SO easily go all day long without having any shakes!!! Even today i had all 3 of my shakes at 8pm!!!
I think you should never regret putting yourself out there, we're here to help! I just think some people took somethings you said the wrong way!!!
Stick to it hun but please do try (as you said) to get those 3 a day in xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I'm so glad someone understands. Thank you so much. I was quite upset when i wrote that post.

Hi,

last year I did LT for about 5 weeks before getting married and I only had 2 a day because I hated the taste so much and just didnt feel I needed them because I wasnt hungry, I guess thats because I was in ketosis so not meant to get hungry but after about the 4th week i started to feel really ill and sick and in the end came off LT altogether cos I was so ill. I think this was because I skipped so many (sometimes only having 1 a day) you just dont get the nutrients and minerals you need and I think its fine for a while but eventually your body gets depleted of minerals and vitamins it needs (and those wouldnt show on your blood tests), so if I was you I would really try and get that third one in, I have this time round and felt fine whereas last time I was wretching, weak stomach ache etc. . . after a few weeks.

Oh and I would definitely take a night off on my birthday to, one night is not going to kill you or ruin the whole diet, its the thing I find the most difficult not being able to socialise with friends etc, I would always take a one off night off if I was doing it long term
