i LOVE elf!! recording it to watch another time :)

i have loads of fave xmas songs, think one of my top ones is step into christmas by elton john but also love wizzard, the pogues, and slade :D

Ah home alone is a must, obviously ancient Wallace and gromits... Not a film proper but it counts. The nightmare before Christmas too, just so I can sing along to it. I would like to see the hobit so might see when it's on by me and if it isn't when my parents are away I might get to go. Nate doesn't wake up at night anymore so it is just someone being in the house.

I'm not sure about favourite Christmas song. I'm a dweeb and like carols. I blame having to be in the school choir (we did do other songs too) every Easter and Christmas we went to the town parish church and performed several times that week. To lower school, upper school, parents/family and the public. It kind of sticks. And for most of my time there we had assemblies and sung hymns until some bullplop about being secular kicked off.

Hi girlies. Had another poor weekend day where I eat breakfast and then forget to eat until dinner - I swear it slows my weight loss. I've even got a big tub of soup in the fridge for an easy fix, I just forgot to eat! If only that had been happening over all these years!

We had the SW Sticky Chicken with noodles and stir fry veg - the OH even requested it! So tasty.

Spent the morning tidying and the afternoon putting up the Christmas tree and wrapping presents! No job application work but I need a break now.

Zoe - we will take you under our wings and help you along! I find I just need to keep my fridge/freezer stocked with fruit and veg so I don't have any reason to stray from plan! The other thing is low syn treats like hot chocolate help.

I usually forget to use my Hex A until the end of the day. I usually either have my B for breakfast so that gets it out the way! Either that or I have crispbreads with Philly Light or Low Low spread for lunch. I tend to do better if I have a load of cheese grated in the fridge ready to chuck over pasta/in mash/soup etc.

I know, I'm so ready to get into gear, why can't it be easy? I'm gona take your advice I did start a diary but haven't done it religiously. and then I can be told when I'm going wrong because at the moment I am trying to remember it all of the top of my head, and that's not going well I have the memory of a fish.

And I thought I'd butt in I absolutely love elf. Gutted I didn't even no it was on nvm.

Zoe, I'd recommend in the new year (new books are coming out) join for a few weeks at least until you have got to grips with it all if you are still struggling then. That way you have someone trained to explain it all to you, answer your questions and support you, then if you are ready to go it alone you can. I'd suck at doing it alone. I'd be such a cheater. But we were told this week that some of the syn values and healthy extras have been modified in the new books, out just before the new year to existing members.

Ooh Emily wrapping presents already! I'm doing mine when my parents are on holiday. I think I am being given theirs to wrap too (except for my own, which is partly a surprise.. ooh)

I've been persuaded I have abit of a confidence issue with image therapy, but I'm going to go Wednesday and join. Thank you for the advice

I can't believe your already wrapping I haven't even done the buying! I don't think I realise it's December I haven't even put my tree up!!!

I second the vote for going to group and sticking around for the Image Therapy. It's really made a difference for me - I've tried doing it on my own and I just find I don't stick with it because I'm not accountable to anyone and I don't have that face-to-face support.

A lot of girls on here do it online with great success, but I know I just wouldn't stick to it as well! I find the support on here brilliant and I would definitely struggle without the day to day friends here. It's so helpful when you have a crap day and you feel like you've thrown it all away and all these lovely people remind you everyone's human and we can pull it back!

Hello everyone, I've read through but forgotten ti now, hope we're all well!

Christmas party was good fun, drank a bit too much and ate a bit too much but back on plan tomorrow :)

Went to Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park today, so so busy but lovely there :)

Chocolate fingers are diet killers. I don't need to know syns per finger, I need syns per box!

Funny you should say that.... :giggle:

It's funny, I've not had them in years but then I read somene on Mini's ate a box. They were just in my head from then on in!

Fingers are too delicious for my own good. My cousin had a huge plate of them at his birthday! I didn't have one until there were only two left, so I knew I couldn't finish off most of them - because once you've had one it's only going to go one way!!!

I had my first morning with a new member of staff today! He's had to go already because he's got admin stuff to do up town but he seems really lovely and keen. He's only 20. His mum goes into hospital next week and has written him a long list of everything he needs to do for Christmas, including a full roast dinner for 10! Daunted doesn't begin to cover it!

Quite glad he's not here this afternoon as I really need to knuckle down and finish this job application. I'm so tired though. My alarm went off this morning and I felt like I'd only shut my eyes for a second. Popping home now for a bowl of soup with chunks of cheese melting in it in the hope it will spur me on!

mum keeps buying those fabulous fingers. SOO tempting but like you Emily, I'd just polish off the lot so I just don't go near and make sure they are shut in her treat box!

I've got my soup cooking now, I sliced through my thumb though. It is pretty deep but should be fine. Thankfully I sharpened the knife before I did it else it could have been a lot worse.

Bless that lad doing the Christmas dinner. I think I'd have to put mum into hospital for her to relinquish control. haha. They are going away on Thursday and will be back on the 22nd so she's been prepping and freezing stuff this week rather than just let me do it. Oh well.... Just realised I told you all I sliced through my thumb, it is the second time I have cut myself with those knifes and she's done it loads (usually because she is engrossed in trash on the tele and not looking at what she is doing)

By the way Jo, your cards look great, I'd never have guessed they were handmade. I couldn't see them properly on my phone earlier.

When does your application have to be in Emily?

It is so beautiful here but freezing cold. Brr. Looking up stand up comedy DVDs. Christmas tradition mornings run: breakfast (smoked salmon scrambled eggs, champagne, toast), then presents, then comedy DVD and we can have one selection box chocolate before christmas dinner if we want one. for the past few years it's been my job to get the DVD, debating between Dara's Craic Addict or Sarah Millican's Thoroughly Millican live, we had John Bishop last year so it needs to be something different, and although I like Jack Whithall in fresh meat and bad education I don't know what his stand up is like. ponder ponder ponder

Hi everyone x popped home for a bit of lunch- i'm SOOO missing my phone and not being able to drop in here when i get 5 mins at work :( hopefully wont take too long to repair!

Jo those cards are beautiful! you are so clever!
