30 day shred!

At the risk of sounding like a complete wimp - did anyone else suffer headaches when they first started this? I mean the ones around my weight not the super-fits!!!!

Maybe try drinking more water as 90% of headaches are due to dehydration and maybe the exercise is leaving you dehydrated! Completed day 2 of level 2 today - was dripping in sweat after and that was following anita lol!!! Kinda enjoyed it though in a strange kinda way :)

day 10 of Level 1 complete - finding it an awful lot easier now than when I started. Looking forward to moving on to Level 2 tomorrow - bit nervous though.

Day 30 done! I am ridiculously proud of myself, I never stick to exercise regimes! Measurements coming x

L1 D6 just completed and felt so much better today. I took a sachet of rehydration salts yesterday and it has made an amazing difference - I even managed some proper butt kicks with Natalie!!

On the down side the temperature has gone up with a jump and 30 mins after finishing I'm still sweating like the proverbial fat lass in a chippy

Well done.
I can't wait to see your results. Are you moving onto anything?

Hi Ruby, i can see you have just started so i would love to join in. I have had this dvd for a LONG time, and thought you had to do all levels at once. I killed myself. :D

I Will start today and later post my measurements.

I just started the SW diet 3 days ago and went a bit crazy yesterday with Wine and sweets. Nede to make up for it.

Sarah

Hi Sarah,

I've just completed D2, L1. It's not getting easier lol. I swear Jillian is trying to kill us with each jumping jack!!

You did all 3 levels at ONCE??!!! How did you recover from that?! lol! Bless you!

x

Okay here they are...
Chest -1in (don't want to lose too much from here!)
Waist -3in
Hips -3.25in
Bum -2.5in
Thigh -2in
Arm -3/4 in (but looks and feels much more toned)

Total weight loss - 10lb. This was my second month of SW, the first month I lost 12lb, so I definitely think it's helped keep the weight loss momentum going.

Next up: Couch to 5k and Ripped in 30!

Doing my first day of Level 2 later - quite excited!

That's brilliant well done, hope I get results like that. I deserve it I think after all this pain! I HATE level 2!!!

Holy good God, I've just done day 1 and am currently wishing for DEATH. Jillian nearly killed me, God love those people on the Biggest Loser. Whilst completing it all I could think of was 1 man's week at the gym. If you read it without laughing you're insane! A Week at the GYM: One man’s stroy. « Man Health Issue

Dear Diary:
For my birthday this year, my wife (the dear) purchased a week of
personal training at the local health club for me.

Although I am still in great shape since playing on my college football
team 25 years ago, I decided it would be a good idea to go ahead and
give it a try.
I called the club and made my reservation with a personal trainer named
Belinda, who identified herself as a 26-year-old aerobics instructor
and model for athletic clothing and swimwear.
My wife seemed pleased with my enthusiasm to get started! The club
encouraged me to keep a diary to chart my progress.
MONDAY:
Started my day at 6:00 a.m.
Tough to get out of bed, but it was well worth it when I arrived at the
health club to find Belinda waiting for me. She was something of a
Greek goddess with blonde hair, dancing eyes and a dazzling white smile.
Woo Hoo!!!!! She took my pulse after 5 minutes on the treadmill. She was
alarmed that my pulse was so fast, but I attributed it to standing next
to her in her Lycra aerobics outfit. I enjoyed watching the skillful way
in which she conducted her aerobics class after my workout today.
Very inspiring, Belinda was encouraging as I did my sit-ups, Although
my gut was already aching from holding it in the whole time she was around.
This is going to be a FANTASTIC week!!
TUESDAY:
I drank a whole pot of coffee, but I finally made it out the door.
Belinda made me lie on my back and push a heavy iron bar into the air,
and then she put weights on it!
My legs were a little wobbly on the treadmill, but I made the full
mile.
Belinda’s rewarding smile made it all worthwhile. I feel GREAT!! It’s a
whole new life for me.
WEDNESDAY:
The only way I can brush my teeth is by lying on the toothbrush on the
counter and moving my mouth back and forth over it. I believe I have a
hernia in both pectorals. Driving was okay as long as I didn’t try to
steer or stop. I parked on top of a Geo in the club parking lot. Belinda was
impatient with me, insisting that my screams bothered the other club
members. Her voice is a little too perky for early in the morning and
when she scolds, she gets this nasally whine that is VERY annoying. My chest
hurts when I got on the treadmill, so Belinda put me on the stair monster.
Why the **** would anyone invent a machine to simulate an activity
rendered obsolete by elevators? Belinda told me it would help me get in shape
and enjoy life. She said some other **** too.
THURSDAY:
Belinda was waiting for me with her vampire-like teeth exposed as her
thin, cruel lips were pulled back in a full snarl. I couldn’t help being a
half an hour late; it took me that long to tie my shoes! Belinda took me to
workout with dumbbells. When she was not looking, I ran and hid in the men’s
room.
She sent Lars to find me, then, as punishment, put me on the rowing
machine-which I sank.
FRIDAY:
I hate that ***** Belinda more than any human being has ever hated any
other human being in the history of the world. Stupid, skinny, anemic little
cheerleading *****. If there were a part of my body that could move
without unbearable pain, I would beat her with it. Belinda wanted me to work on
my triceps. I don’t have any triceps! And if you don’t want dents in the
floor, don’t hand me the ****ing dumbbells or anything that weighs more than a
sandwich. The treadmill flung me off and I landed on a health and
nutrition teacher. Why couldn’t it have been someone softer, like the drama coach
or the choir director?
SATURDAY:
Belinda left a message on my answering machine in her grating, shrilly
voice wondering why I did not show up today. Just hearing her made me want to
smash the machine with my planner. However, I lacked the strength to
even use the TV remote and ended up catching eleven straight hours of the
Weather Channel.
SUNDAY:
I’m having the Church van pick me up for services today so I can go and
thank GOD that this week is over. I will also pray that next year, my
wife (the *****), will choose a gift for me that is fun –like a root canal
or a vasectomy!

Love it! You should've seen the look I just gave my other half who walked in and said "good workout?" I'm certainly not enjoying it but feel better for it (once over recovered for an hour!!)
day 15 level 2! HALFWAY THROUGH!!!
I'm so surprised at myself who always gives up and yes, proud too. Still, got another 15 days to go so let's see if I make it!

Did my first day at Level 2 earlier - took me a while to get into some of the movements - the whole coordination thing I find a bit tricky, when doing stuff with arms and legs at the same time, but once I get used to the moves I should be fine. It's definitely harder but I enjoyed the feeling once I'd finished. Looking forward to doing it again.
