This is day 1 of my last restart. I've just turned 30 and I want to get down to a sensible weight so I can enjoy it.

I have 40lbs to lose to get me down from 11.5st(ish) to 8.5st(ish). I doubt I'll get there before my target date when I'm off on holidays but the closer I can get the better.

Let's do the maths -
96 days / 13 weeks / 3 months until we jet off. If I can really lose 1st a month I could just about do it. I know it'll slow down towards the end so the bigger a head start I can get the better.

Today's Plan
- Breakfast: 1 Vanilla shake w/ tsp of instant coffee
- Lunch: Tomato and basil soup
- Dinner: Cookies and Cream Shake
- Drinks: 330ml Coke Zero, sparkling water, chilled SmartWater, peppermint tea
- Exercise: 20 mins on the rowing machine

Lets get to it!

I've decided to give myself mini-goals to keep me going.

- Get through Day 1
- Get through Day 3
- Get through Week 1
- Lose 5% (8lbs)
- Get under 150lbs (this has been a major barrier so far!)
- Lose 10% (16lbs)
- Get into the Healthy BMI range (20lbs)
- Hit 9st (34lbs) This would be my 'soft' target

The top half of that list seems doable, the bottom half seems quite daunting!

Good luck on your first day of your last restart :)

Thank you! It feels 'real' this time lol

Hi, welcome, and good luck :)

Well, I've already had all of my packs for the day (by 2.30pm actually!) but that's fine. Whilst I'm full of enthusiasm and will-power is the time to leave myself hungry in the evening. At least it'll force me to crack on with the water more! I'm off work this week but next week I'll be back to the 9-5 which will help me pace things out a bit better.

I know well enough that as soon as I veer even slightly off plan I'm going to fall off altogether. The further I can go without any slip ups and the better I'll feel about myself come July.

Welcome and good luck.
How did you find your meals?

How did you find your meals?

Loved them. I've done the plan before and I know the biggest thing to make me quit is to have something I don't enjoy so I've played it safe with my meal choices this time. The tomato soup was actually a left over from a previous attempt!

I've got myself a Smoothie 2 go this time which is fabulous! I use 200ml water and chuck in an ice cube and it comes out lovely and thick and freezing cold. I even made the soup in there with hot water and it mixed without spraying everywhere. Definitely one of my better investments lately

Took the kids to grab a Happy Meal after their swimming lessons and I asked for a Coke Zero for myself. I've gotten home and they've not put the diet tab down so I don't trust it enough to drink it! :eatdrink017:Should've just gotten a bottle of water lol, I'll know for next time. It's shocking how quickly I was going to grab the kids left-overs out of habit. I need to remind myself that I'm not a dustbin!

Getting the baby to sleep now with a bottle of water and a mug of peppermint tea next to me. Actually looking forward to waking up in the morning knowing that I got through my first day 100%. The real challenge is going to be not jumping straight on the scales!

I've decided to give myself mini-goals to keep me going.

- Get through Day 1 - Done!
- Get through Day 3
- Get through Week 1

Day 1 done! :banana_dancer: That's the first hurdle over!

I have to confess though that I did jump on the scales this morning. I have a feeling that I'm going to lose weight slower than others so I don't want to go into my first official weigh-in thinking I'll have lost 10lbs and then find out I only lost 5, that would be absolutely gutting. At least this way I can know roughly what to expect. If I seems like I'm getting despondent about the plan please give me a slap on the wrist. I know that Exante will work if I stick to it, there's no way it can't!

Today's Plan
- Breakfast: 1 Vanilla shake w/ tsp of instant coffee (my breakfast staple)
- Lunch: Apple and Cinnamon Porridge
- Dinner: TBC Shake
- Drinks: 330ml Coke Zero, sparkling water, chilled SmartWater, peppermint tea
- Exercise: 20 mins on the rowing machine

For this week whilst I'm off work I'm going to use up some of my hot meals since they'll be a pain to make in work.

Mini-goal of the day: Try to space the shakes out better

Sounds like you are doing great! Good luck for day two! X

I have done daily weigh ins for my first 3 weeks to keep myself motivated but also stop myself getting over excited about my perceived weight loss and putting myself in a situation at the end of the week where I thought I had lost at least 3 stones so any decent result would be a disappointment

Its so easy to hear people's big losses and think that the weight will go in a puff of smoke! The fact is that since I've had my last baby the weight has been incredibly stubborn so I really shouldn't get my hopes up too high. I'll still only log my Tuesday weight as my 'official' weight.

My parents are home from their holidays in 2 weeks and as long as they can notice a difference I think I'll be happy.

Started to feel a bit achey at 11.30 so had an oxo drink. That really hit the spot! Going to try to push on until 1pm before having my next pack.

I'm waiting in for the delivery of our new BBQ. Its got a rotisserie attachment so I'm torturing myself by looking up loads of recipes for the summer. Gotta love a bit of food porn! At least I know that next time we have a bbq I can make a rotisserie chicken to nibble on rather than a load of processed stuff.

I was aiming for 1pm for my next pack but hunger got the better of me at 12.30!

I'm a slow loser too, although I try not to weigh everyday as if I don't lose anything for a day or so then I get depressed about it. I don't hold out any expectations of any big loses to avoid disappointment.

I've literally spent the last hour sending my husband text after text listing all the foods I want to eat :blahblah:. Not sure if its the best thing to be doing but it seems to be keeping me away from the fridge. I tried the Hot chocolate and ginger shake today and I really didn't like it, usually I love ginger stuff like Crabbies but it just had a weird 'aftersting'.

I have to admit that I've been grumpy as hell today. But I guess the choice is to grumpy because I hate the way I look for the next few years to come or to be grumpy for the next few months and get to where I want to be

Food cravings will pass. Keep focused on the end goal. :)

It does get easier, honestly.......just get past the first few days, which are the toughest

Good luck :)
