4th Jan 2010 restarters/ new starters join here!!!

Congrats Nelli -- nearly a stone. Drinking that water will certainly speeed up your losses as you will be running to the loo (and burning calories in the process).

thanks love ashlay.xxxxxxxxxx

Well done ashlay on your weight loss. I have had first weigh-in since re-starting, and have lost over 9lb's - (not sure what my starting weight was, probably a few pounds over 12 stones but will settle for 12). Very pleased, Cambridge Diet works miracles x

Well done everyone - we really are doing well as a group. We should maybe have one of these weekly total sheets that I've seen elsewhere on the site. Will try to find one when I get home tonight and post.
Day2 Week 3 already !

wbs me too, been paying for gym all of last year and prob went so gonna take it easy with gym in case its detrimental as some research does imply...

Well, resistance is fine and will help retain any lean loss. A lot of cardio can be the problem and cause lean loss and reduction in metabolism on a VLCD

Gentle swimming is good and some brisks walks, but not to push yourself and not to lose weight, as it probably wont help a great amount, but good for the heart and wellbeing :)

hi ashlay and welcome. well done on getting through the first 2 weeks, which is by far the hardest! 6lbs is fab.
you should do yourself a ticker to display your losses. just click on someone elses to create your own. its great for motivation too, seeing the ticker move towards your goal!

KD thanks for the info, i am only doing 10-20 mins of cardio and 30mins weights. oh and a 30min brisk dog walk (o/h does the evening dog walk, phew!).

sts today ggrrr... oh well almost midway through week 3 can you believe!!!!!
well done ladies xxx

Day 17 ladies! It's flying by :)

time sure is flying by... ;)

i am another lb down. but worried i may not make 23lbs in 3 weeks

been gym again today and am killing from the weights. can barely put my arms up to get dressed :(

oh well no pain no gain. am going easy on the cardio and just did 20mins on the bike to warm up then lots of weights.
gonna do gym mon-fri and then have sat and sun off.

2 cartons down, 1 cup of tea and on 2nd pint of warm water with orange flavouring. feeling the cold today!

well ladies have a great day 17, almost half way through week 3 and onto week 4. what a milestone!!!!!!

xxxx

Well done CD08 - I am also another 1lb down (unofficially) which makes a stone. I have never been so cold in my life.
Nelli

Hi NelliDuff -- Congrats on the loss and making a target. You are 1/2 way to your listed goal. If you think you're cold now... it is supposed to freeze again tonight. :( But, I know what you mean. I am thinking aobut wearing those fingerless gloves in my house.

KD would you say 20 mins on the treadmill climber (like hiking or so it says) be okay or would you advise just stick to swimming.

day 18 ladies! wow...

well i am slowing down to half a lb a day now ggrrrrrrr.
a bit annoyed but scales at least going down each day.

might need a little assistance with downstairs activity soon as not been for days. so this may be to blame but hey as long as scales are going down and not up i am happy!!!!

i cant believe we are steaming through week 3, come on week 4! xxx

day 19 ladies!
hope everyone is still on board the wagon.
i had a day off of the gym yesterday as i could barely move, muscles were aching like mad...
feel better today so back to it!
have had to resort to taking a senokot so fingers crossed it works (sorry if tmi, but i guess its part and parcel of ss'ing!).
soooo close to week 4, and my doesnt time fly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! xxx

Day 19 - isn't it flying by. Well done on the gym CD08 - I did a few stretching exercises last night (and I mean a few). Last time I joined a gym it was a novelty for a few weeks and then a total waste of money as I just didn't use it.

Anyone else sleeping better?

Nelli

yay nelli thats fab about the 4lbs. water is def the way forward!
stops me drinking so much tea/ coffee as well.

i know what you mean about the novelty factor of the gym... i have been a member since last jan (2009) and been about 10 times max throughout the past year. oops... what a waste of money :(

and dont get me started on the sleeping... just call me sleeping beauty lol. cannot wake up in the morning for love nor money and having early nights nearly every night!

xxx

CD08 -- If the senakot works -- I'll bet you show a bigger loss this week. I do "pay as you go" at the gym. It has yet to become cost effective for me to become a member. I keep track.
