4th Jan 2010 restarters/ new starters join here!!!

Hi guys,
Welcome Lexie and best of luck to you!
Ooh ooh ooh only 2 days til my break and I am determined to stay right on track until Sunday after weigh in. Bloody hard though...
I can feel 'holiday mode' creeping up on me aarrgghhh go away!!!
Feeling cold today so plenty of warm drinks to keep me toasty.
Happy Friday everyone, only a few more days til week 7!
Can anyone believe we are still here and going strong???
And Nelli, yes this is most def the last time I do this!!! xxx

I am envying you the break CD08, and if I thought I could handle it I would take one too. However I am missing food too much and think if I take a chance I might disappear from these pages forever - and find myself huge by Christmas. Instead I am trying to focus on what I will do "after".

My CDC was telling me today that some milk is now permissable. What a pain - on previous attempts what really got to me more than anything was black coffee - this time I am actually enjoying it.

Where is the fairness in this world :)

Well done guys, looks like we're all doing well.
Nearly up to the 7 week mark. It's gone really quick, hope the next 7 go just as quick. I'm considering coming off plan for the weekend, but havn't quite decided yet.

Lost another 4lb this week, which takes me to 29lb so far. Feel great and so much more fitter.

Just gonna keep visualising me in my bikini in May and m on the slopes in January. I intend not to look like a Yeti or the abominble snowman, but more funky like a snow leopard :)

Bring on more weight loss.

CD, enjoy the weekend and we'l make sure you're back on her next week still full of motivation and positivity. :)

Amina go drink plenty of water, hopefully that will help xx

It must have been "Friday Fever" - I had it last night too though miraculously - and with the help of going to bed early - managed to get through unscathed. The whole evening I just wanted to eat or drink something.
As Katie says plenty water will help and realising it is only a teeny weeny blip and not a biggie will too.
Talking to my CDC hadn't helped either because she told me that I should have had the meals in week 5 - AND I DON'T WANT TO DO THAT - but of course the diet devil on my shoulder kept saying "well at least you can have something" or "why not a small glass of wine".

As you said it could have been a multitude of things - hope you get a good loss when you go today xx

Typical eh :D But, milk has been allowed on SS+ and upwards for a few years now. So, if you do those plans, you get to have milk. If you are SS, you don't ;)

Nelli

You don't have to. The rule is that if you SS or SS+ for 12 weeks you have to do a plan that is over 800 cals for a week. Most chose the 810 plan which includes foods and milk.

But, you don't have to have a meal on week 5 if you don't want :)

I know you have to have a meal over 800 cals after week 12, and I have been doing, but don't really know why, can anyone please advise?

It's to follow the NICE guidelines as it's considered safer not eat under 800 cals for more than 12 weeks.

It's a really good idea for extra protein, and psychological reasons too :)

810 is a great plan anyway and lots just do that for the whole 'journey' :)

So one more day left until week 7 begins!

Amina, how was weigh in after the nuts? At least it was'nt loads of bad carbs hey! Nuts was a much better 'cheat' than crisps/ choc/ sweets etc.

Nelli, friday fever yes i know it well! I had it yest too but also managed to escape it unscathed!!! We went to cinema and I took a bar and had a black coffee so it wasnt too hard.

30lbs down now, hoping for one more for tomorrows weigh in (day early).

Fingers crossed and I hope everyone survives 'sinful saturday', dont give in, resist all temptations!

Hi ladies, WI was okay today after my nut escapade last night! I lost 2ibs this week. I am a bit annoyed iwth myself because if I hadn't had a night off with my friends last saturday which then took 3 days to stabalise again, I would have been probably 4ibs. But I guess at least I got some off! Good luck tomorrow CD08 and enjoy your 'break'. I am going to be good as gold with diet and exercise until mine on thursday for my birthday so that I can do some damage control.

Just got back from Nike training club at the gym, done my cleaning, put the washing in and now time for my first shake and a bit of Project Runway lol! Enjoy your saturdays ladies xxx

Well done on the loss Amina - that still makes for a loss in 5 weeks :)

Thanks for that KD

The conversation of yesterday running through my mind and - I just had DINNER. I cooked half a dozen (smallish) mushrooms in the oven with some cottage cheese on the top and some chilli pepper sprinkled - didn't eat them all and then rushed to the loo feeling all guilty to check ketosis. Luckily I was fine but as you guys know, I had no intention of doing that until the conversation yesterday.

I also drank 2 litres of water while cooking dinner for OH and the mushrooms and plan another two in the next couple of hours.

All of u have lost allot of weight, and the ones that are on their main weight goal. Did u guys do it with only being 100% on the diet, or with exercise too??? By losing weight, and burning fat because of the diet, ur body will shrink and be lighter slowly just like that with the diet. Because 'till now I've lost 23 lbs, but I don't see no change to my body, but the scale does.

Hi Zentje - welcome to our thread.
Some people have been exercising as well as ss'ing - I'm not one of them - I don't think I have the energy to go to the gym or running, so I am just trying to keep active, i.e. doing a bit of walking or like yesterday cutting chopping and clearing in the garden.
