6 months till xmas!

I do think there is an element of them not wanting to be left behind so they try and keep you where you are,not always but sometimes!
You can do it!

1 thing i do notice is once you get down to goal weight, you find out who true and real friends are :)

Absolutely you stop obsessing over food. It's great - each night I plan my packs/meals for the next day, then I eat every 5-6 hours. Easy. No fretting, nothing to buy. Even on the occasional hungry day I just wrinkle my nose at any off-plan food and carry on with what I'm doing. After 3 months the habit is fully ingrained - I haven't cheated or slipped up at all... I've had protein when I've had very busy days, but I don't count that as any kind of failure, it's healthy to 'eat for work done'. I had one small piece of birthday cake that was planned & accounted for, and it really wasn't all that.

Because I have a tolerance in my mental plan, I am set up for success rather than failure. The lifestyle I lead is difficult, in hotels 3-5 nights a week, doing long shifts and lots of travelling - most people's are hectic for whatever reason - but I have had to learn how to work the diet around it. Matter of fact, just get on with it, this is what I need to do to shift the weight, it's the quickest & easiest way to do it long term rather than trying to buy healthy pre-packed food or hotel restaurant meals, mind-over-matter.

If I forget to take an exante pack with me, I just buy a salad. Healthy, keeps me in ketosis, relatively cheap and not too exciting for the tastebuds.

man the day 2 headaches have started :(
but i got a suspicious feeling, i might be in ketosis, as i aint got the hunger prangs and also that metalic taste in mouth

coke zero, packs, and a bit of cardio is all good :)

good thing is we shall all help with eachothers goals :) and im sure we will all be successful :)

Keep drinking the water, don't beat yourself up if you need to have protein to get through it as anything is better than giving in and having a carb binge - if you just have a bit of protein it won't knock you out of ketosis and you can just carry on with the diet easily the next day. If you're feeling crap try adding a pinch of lo-salt to your soups, and don't think you are safely in ketosis and can let your guard down with regard to food demons until you're at least 2 solid weeks down.

The diet shakes/soups/bars are just a tool, not magic, YOU are ultimately responsible for what you put in your mouth - nobody else. Educate yourself about healthy choices to make as you probably will need to eat at some point because of socialising. My social life hasn't suffered at all and I have still had good losses despite going out for indian, mexican, tapas, nandos, steak & general pub food. There is always a healthy choice - OK it might be a slightly boring, less appetising option but it's the one that will allow you to keep plodding on without inviting food demons along for the ride.

Day 6 today and am looking forward to weighing in on Monday!I have found it easier this time round, perhaps I'm more determined than usual but I really hope this is the time I finally get to grips with my weight.

yesterday evening was really hard but I got through it and am so glad I didn't eat, hopefully tomorrow will spur me on a bit more!

i think 2nd time you feel more secure about this and def find it easier :) when i done LL i lost a hell of alot of weight, but i didnt find the councellor meetings any good, than i maintained so well for a year and a half, than went all off track, but now into day 5 and am finding it o so easy :) the kindle offers me so much and plus gyming it up abit, just gotta hit the nail on the head :) x

Pleased with weight loss,it makes the struggle feel worthwhile! I can already feel that my knees are not aching so much and my chin is not quite so wobbly and I've only just started.I hope it gets easier though as preparing meals 3 times a day at the weekend was really hard.

i am on week 4 on exante and i have lost 13 pounds!! Really pleased with that and i am probably going to be on it until xmas!! My daughters birthday is in between xmas and new year, so hoping to look good then, fingers crossed!! Good luck everybody and i am sure we can encourange eachother to stick with it and carry on!!

All the best xx

hope to be off the diet by Xmas! probably be back on it after new year though haha

well me i am hoping if i drill it hard enough to be done by end of this month otherwise august, and simply maintain from than on :)

Xmas already gah! Although i'll be glad this year to wear something really pretty to the work Xmas party which i'm helping to organise this year, so theres the added pressure lol.

I know I'm not going to be thin by xmas but I will be the smallest I've been in 17 years if I stay on track.I'm going to stop at xmas then rethink it.This site is really helping me to stay focused so thankyou everyone!

Day 9 in the big bertha house! It is getting a bit easier every day apart from when I have to cook.My sense of smell seems to be 10x stronger when I open the fridge door.I just have to keep thinking to myself that if I ate it would be temporary pleasure followed by feeling rubbish rather than long term happiness.

Day 11 and still going strong. My friend came round with fish and chips yesterday and I had to explain that I couldn't eat them while they chomped on theirs in front of me but I was strong and my friend took them home.I think I realised how much of this food business is in my mind because once the smell and the food had gone I was fine and I am staying focused on the long term pleasure of being slimmer and fitter rather than the short term pleasure of stuffing my face!

its so damn easy :) which is a good thing mind you
