Here's a pizza recipe it's lush tastes like domino's

For a 2 HEb pizza base

You are looking for Tesco Crusty Wholemeal Bread Mix.

You can use these quantities as ‘free’ on a red or a green day because they are the equivalent of 2 HEbs. Just stick to your green or red day rules when you add your toppings, eg no sweecorn on red days, no meat on green etc.

If you use this on an EE day, then count 1HEb and 6 syns.

Don’t forget to count your cheese as a HEa to ensure totally syn free!

Take 75g of your wholemeal bread mix, save approximately 5g for dusting and add approximately 60-70ml of water til you form a dough. Knead according to instructions. This, when cooked, will make a base of approximately 115g in weight, which is 2HEbs.

When the dough has risen/rested for the required time, flatten with a rolling pin or, as I do, use the base of your hand for a more rustic base, using your leftover dusting mix to ensure your base doesn’t stick to the breadboard or chopping board.

Put the base into your baking tray and then top with a thin layer of passata (I like to add paprika and oregano to mine). Sprinkle on a little bit of cheese, it’s up to you whether you use 1 or 2 servings of mozzarella, don’t forget 1 serving of mozzarella is 42g or you can have 8 of those low fat President’s Light mozzarella balls per HEa. If you just want regular mozzarella, Iceland do a very reasonable bag of pizza cheese for just £2. The ingredients list says that it is mozzarella so I have used 42g of it as a HEa until someone tells me different. I have also used the Tesco Healthy Living mozzarella ball, which is really nice too.

Add your free or superfree toppings, making sure they are all cooked first because foods such as mushrooms and bacon are very watery and you don’t want soggy pizza base.

The packet says to cook on two hundred and something but after trial and error I have found that cooking your pizza on 150-180 for 20-30 minutes (depending on size of pizza) gives you a crust with decent bite without being burnt.

If you have done this right, your pizza should fit comfortably inside the inner ring of a standard dinner plate.

I would say that just to be on the extra extra angelic side, make sure you do have a couple of syns left over from your day to makeup for any approximation in your mix quantities (eg if you make it too sloppy by mistake and need to add a little more mix to even out the texture)

Hope this helps. If anyone has any other hints and tips, or would like to post pizza photos please do share them here

Morning Y'all

Whats planned for today then? I am off to spin class in a few minutes then the supermarket (how glamorous)!!

Oo leanne, sounds like a bit of a stressful night and morning, not what you need after a full days hard work. Hope this afternoon is a bit quieter and you can relax a little. Xx

I'm having a day of cleaning before off to my parents where the family are all having a belated Christmas dinner, we were all sick with flu over Christmas. We are having Beef though and my parents have an actifry which they do the roast potatoes in so I should be able to stick to sw with ease.

I was reading the thread the other day about what you will do when you get to goal and I was wondering what everyone on here is planning??

My goal is so long away I can't decide just yet. Although I want a tatto at the base of my spine saying ..... When they placed you in my arms you slipped right into my heart

That and a new wardrobe hehe. X

Awwww I love that saying... So sweet xx. I like the tattoo idea though.

I'm pretty pandora and jewellery crazy... This is what our business is... So I'm liking the idea of something like that. My pandora is pretty full so maybe a pandora ring... Hummmm...

Hi guys..

Not having a great day (not food wise in general) My H was working last nite & was suppose to have tonight off but is working again. I'm thinking my depression might be coming back as feeling very angry as if I'm going to explode & I've been snapping at the 2 kids. I'm feeling really tired & have no energy don't want to do anything.

I hope it's not depression I had it when I went back to work after having son as MIL was winding me up over my son (i.e. saying oh son did this or that & I felt as if I was missing out)

Maybe I'm just having an off day as like you Leeanne my 2 year old was up at 6am & then the baby was crying & I felt like I couldn't cope. I'm going to try my best to stay good. I might make pizza & chips to feel as if I'm being naughty. We've no food in really as H been working & haven't had the chance (were suppose to shop today but H sleeping as work tonight)

Sorry for long post feel better just writing it down XX

Aw hun hope u feel better soon. Maybe hVe a nice bath?

I have just come back for a 1 ands half hour walk and I am shattered but can't go bed till lo goes bed as hubs is watching the football and wont look after him lol.
X

I'e got the 2 wee ones so no bath. I think I'm just having a bad/tired day (I hope) as yesterday I was so happy & looking forward to going out next Sat. I think it's because H was suppose to be off tonight then comes home & says he's working. When your on your own every evening/night of the week with no adult conversation it gets to you.

I'm going to go off & make a big bowl SW chips, egg & beans (I'll have a green day) Hope that wi in the morning cheers me up!!

Hun I know how u feel my husband is a detective for the police and works loooooong days. And again like yours is often called in at short notice. Some days we don't see one another for weeks as e will get home so late I am in bed.
The best thing to do is not get down a about when they are not there as it makes them feel pants for doing something they prob Don't want to do in the first place. We have had many cancelled dinners out and he was ment to work on our sons first birthday but he went really high up to not go in.

Chin up hun I know it's hard but try and stay positive at least we have husbands who work for our family.

Hugs. X

I can so relate, bigbear! But try not to get yourself too down, if you can, go for a walk or even just stand outside for a few mins, the fresh air will do you good. Dont beat yourself up though, you're doing a fab job with a newborn and toddler and still able to be doing sw - whatever happens today, draw a line under it and start fresh in the morning.

As for what I'd do when I reach goal, well, hubby says he'll take me and the girls on holiday (we've not been anywhere since our first came along in 08), so am chomping at the bit to get away to sunnier climes. And obviously once am at goal, i'll be looking to get myself a new wardrobe, cant wait cause at the moment am using all sorts of creative skills to make my baggy clothes fit, cant afford to be buying clothes every min.
