60 days to slim, this time I will do it!

Hi everyone, finally decided to start a food diary so I am accountable to something as have been messing around for far too long.
My story so far-
Joined SW in Jan 2012 with 1.5 stone to lose. I got my 1 stone award on 26th March and since then (one week loss, one week gain pretty much) have gained 18lbs and lost 10.5lbs. :( I've had enough and just want to get to the stage where I am happy with my weight and feel confident in my clothes.
My brother gets married on 29th September this year, 61 days (but the diary starts tomorrow hence the title!) 8 more weigh ins and I would love to be back at my 1stone award by then. I always thought I would be long at target by then and now it is fast approaching and I'm further away than ever :(
I tend to go through phases of on plan, off plan and bingeing so I'm hoping that by writing everything down, and I mean EVERYTHING It will help me keep control.

Day 1- bit stressful so been tough keeping within my syns but just about managed it! I know I am eating rather a lot at the moment, tend to have an extra meal mid afternoon so save my hexb for then as I work a long day (12hrs+) with no breaks, just have to grab what i can when the children eat/stop for a drink. When I get back fully on the wagon I intend to cut down the snacking and hope I can go back to using my hexb for breakfast but I find it helps me not to binge having something sweet that I can eat thats still "on plan".

Breakfast - Rice pudding made with 1/4 hex a milk, 1 egg, sweetener and frozen blueberries. Nectarine
Snack - Apple
Lunch - Chicken & mushroom pasta n sauce with extra veg. Mushrooms, carrots, peppers, broccoli with 2 tsp creme fraiche (2syns)
Snack - Banana & melon
Afternoon extra - 2 weetabix (hexb) with 1/4 hex a milk and 2 tbsp syrup (4syns)
Had a nibble of pizza from the boys tea, was homemade so i know exactly what went into it and only had a bite but counted 2 syns, also had a tsp coleslaw another 2syns.
Dinner - Chicken soy and satay stir fry with noodles (1syns for the satay sauce) Courgette, pepper, mushrooms, spring onion, ginger, garlic.

Planning on an options this evening (2syns)

I make that 13syns.

Lately a good day has been keeping it under 25 so thats a big improvement, really struggled lately so hope this will help keep me on the straight and narrow!
 
Hey hun good luck I'm in similar boat I started jan. 2010 !! Had 3/4 stone to loose got to 2.5 lost then gained 1.5 stone back and have been messing about so am back on it as from last week !! I need to get to target I found doing a diary on here really helps !!

Your first day looks good hun and well done you for staying on track today I work a similar day with no set breaks just grab when you can I go into work with a bag full off stuff and graze all day !! When I get 5 mins !!
 
Day 2 of back on track, been a really good day! Had a bit of a breakthrough today, went to the soft play centre which is known for its amazing cakes (and massive portions of said cake) and I managed to resist, infact I didn't need to resist I didn't want one as I didn't know the syn value! :wow:

Anyway, today was as follows (green day) -
Hex a milk used in coffee throughout day

Breakfast- Fruit salad- strawberries, grapes and raspberries followed by 2 egg mushroom and tomato omelette

Lunch - Pasta with broccoli, carrot, pepper, 1/2 hexa of philly light and a squeeze of marmite. Apple

Dinner - Peanut curry with peppers, chicken (hexb), mushroom, onion, garlic, noodles, peanut butter (4 syns)

Felt peckish a little while after dinner so had my other hexb - 35g bran flakes and 1/2 hexa milk

snacks - mini fudge bar (3syns) options hot chocolate (2syns)

9 syns! and no cake :D

bleugh! what a day. went to bed with a headache last night and woke up with a migraine Only got tomorrow then my work family are away for a week then I'm off for a week so I couldn't bring myself to call in sick. probably should've though.
Had a stressful day, with the migraine making it worse, ate too much, went over syns but I did manage to keep track so at least I can maybe count them weekly this week and not blow it too much.
Also walking home I wondered why I was looking pregnant and feeling so yucky and bloated and it suddenly occurred to me that since stopping the slimmatee, I've not "been"! I think thats 2 days but it could be 3.. thats not going to help! Decided that instead of dinner I would have an extra hexb to help get things moving. Drawn a line and back to it tomorrow.
Day 3 - green day
Breakfast - 3 Weetabix (hexb + 3 syns) Milk (hexa) 2 tbsp syrup (4 syns)
snack - banana + strawberries
lunch - Fritata made with egg, potato, tomato, carrot, onion, peppers served with beans. slice toast (hex b) philly (1/2 hex a)

Now this is where it went wrong, I had already used my hex b's and got peckish for something sweet. it all went downhill from there!
Biscuit- 4 syns
Party rings 5 syns
malt loaf 4 syns
marg 1 syn

dinner - as explained above I had another hexb so that is equal to 6 syns of scan bran, with 1/2 hex a milk and an options to flavour it (2 syns)

29syns :( :cry: crapsticks...

allowing 15 syns per day from tuesday to sunday is 90. Have used 51 this week since starting my diary so will allow myself no more than 13 per day for friday, sat and sun and I should be ok. I hope.
Why do I do it to myself?!
I need to make sure I save that hexb, it all goes wrong when I get to that point in the afternoon and have nothing sweet i can have without spending syns. Will go and plan tomorrow right now!

well today was much better than yesterday! Got an early finish from work which was so nice, really needed the rest and gave me chance to go and visit my nan, she not very well :(
day is not over and I have some syns planned for after the cinema with my boyfriend, going to see Ted and from what I've heard I should burn off a fair few calories laughing :)

This was today - day 4
Breakfast - rice pudding: rice, 1/2 hex a milk, egg, sweetener. Blueberries, strawberries and raspberries stirred through.
Snack - nectarine
Lunch- didn't have a lot of time but I did succumb to 2 cocktail sausages (4syns) and then had a mugshot. Ate a big handful of raspberries and grapes while mugshot was soaking but still don't think it was quite 1/3 super free- oops! I'm usually very good at mealtimes with my veg, just didn't have time to prepare today.
Snack when I got home at 4pm(!) was a banana
Early dinner cos of cinema- one of my quick faves: Marmite philly pasta. Pasta, chopped courgette, peppers and spring onion with 1/2 hex a philly light, dollop of marmite mixed up to make a really quick and tasty creamy sauce.

Boyfriend had a work bbq and had couple of drinks so I'm driving to cinema, will have a couple of martinis when we get in (5syns) (edit:eek:nly had one so 2.5!)plus still have my hexb to use so will either have some toast or cereal if I get peckish later.

9 syns! :). (edit 6.5 as I only had one martini!)

Weekends I'm usually quite good so hopefully I will see a loss this week. Its been a while and even though after yesterday I'm not sure I deserve one, if i mange to keep the syns low and get out cycling over the weekend I would love at least a little loss!

Need to order my dress for my brothers wedding soon and really want to be able to get it in a size 12 rather than a 14 so I decided to myself today that I will soon be recommencing the 30 day shred to help me tone up. Did it for 15 days before my holiday and really noticed the difference- especially on my thighs. I even managed to get into size 12 skinny jeans for my holiday which is a massive achievement for me. Will probably wait for after weigh in though as I did get a sts on the first week of shred last time which I think that was down to the repairing muscles.

Didn't have a great day yesterday! We were invited to a bbq at my boyfriends bosses house (they are also friends) to celebrate their engagement and I went along with my trusty martini planning to do my best.
Kinda went out the window :( as it was a celebration we were greeted with champagne which freely flowed throughout the afternoon, as did the home made cocktails and nibble crisps. :/
I did manage to only have a few crisps but the alcohol syns I clocked up were astronomical :( I did write down when I got home everything I ate and drank, and it totals 83 syns! :( gutted that I've ruined the whole week. My only saving grace may be that I've done some extra cycling this week, and yesterday I ate nothing other than what I had at the bbq, except from an apple for breakfast.
I've decided I am not going to list everything I ate and drank purely cos it will make me feel more rubbish each time I look at it! Have drawn a line but am clinging to the fact that as weigh in is tomorrow and even with yesterday, I still have probably had fewer syns than on previous weeks and more exercise and therefore may still scrape a STS.
Today is a new day and I'm going to get straight back on the wagon.

Had porridge for breakfast and am planning on some pasta and salad for lunch. Probably a sw chicken curry for dinner (scraping what we've got together as shopping doesn't come till tomorrow!) I am going to try and limit my syns today too, but will have a few if I get desperate, maybe an options or something.
Onwards and downwards :)

Hi, sorry for not posting last couple of days, not been the best I've had!
Long story short my nan has been taken ill so I've been helping out my mum caring for her and I accompanied her into hospital yesterday where she is now on an elderly palliative care ward. Not sure where we will go from here, we weren't even sure she would make it into hospital as we had a day to wait between them deciding she was going and actually getting her a bed and the deterioration in that time was shocking. Just wait and hope she gets stronger I suppose.
Anyway with all this going on I've not been writing stuff down, but I know I've been on plan, even not eating enough at times due to stress/being too busy! Will recap yesterday food and try and call back in tonight with todays diary.

Breakfast- free rice pudding with grapes and apple

Lunch- pasta and broccoli with extra light Philly (1/2 a) (other 1/2 was milk in coffee)

Snack- 2x hifi light Rocky roads (hex B)

Dinner- slow cooker beef and veg stew (so glad I had the insight to stick this on the night before or it would have been whatever I could grab!)

Syns - scan bran cake 5syns
Golden syrup spread on cake- 4syns.

Oh and weighed in on Monday and had lost 2.5lbs despite my errors this week. There's obviously something to be said for the stress diet! Will write everything down again today

Right a bit behind but got yesterdays diary- had a sneaky weigh in and saw the 11s for the first time in a very long time!! means I'm getting closer to my 1 stone award again! of course its an unofficial weigh in and I usually dip then go up a bit so I won't get too excited yet, but theres hope!

Breakfast - Variation on the one pan winter hash from jan/feb mag. Used 2 eggs, potato, pepper, 1/2 hex a cheese and tomato
Lunch - was a late breakfast so didn't have lunch as such, just snacks. Apple and a one finger time out bar (4 syns)
Dinner - lasagne with columns cheddar cheese sauce (1/2 pack so 4 syns) and a salad
2x hifi light (hexb)
Scan bran cake (3 syns)

Syns for the day - 11


Today so far, naughty again missing meals but was so busy plus still rushing about with my nan so had nothing until lunch other than 1 piece scan bran cake.

Lunch - leftover beef and veg stew from the night before last.

Dinner will be chicken stir fry with peppers and spring onion (and possibly mange tout and mushrooms if boyfriend got my text and goes to shop!)
I might have a martini after visiting nan this evening so that will be 2.5 syns

Hi, sorry its been a week with no posts but unfortunately Nan went downhill and she passed away last Tuesday.
Had a bit of a rubbish week food wise including days of eating nothing but drinking more than my days syns in the evening so had a 1lb gain on Monday. Trying to get back on track this week but still a bit up and down and the funeral isn't till Tuesday so still not totally sunk in I don't think :(
Will try my best to get back to posting daily again from tomorrow, I actually can't remember what Ive eaten today but its all been on plan, will write it down tomorrow and be back with a food diary tomorrow.

Right, I'm back. Been a rollercoaster of a few weeks, Nans funeral was on Tuesday and I think we gave her a nice send off. I hope she would be proud :)

Been back on 30day shred since last week, on day 7 but missed a day yesterday when I went to zumba instead so I think that will probably be my routine for the forseeable future.
Food wise I've been toying a little with calorie counting but still sticking to slimming world principles (i know- slap my wrist!) But out of curiosity I logged a days food and it was quite high so using the calorie counter alongside sw I find it helps me not eat for the sake of eating cos its "free food".
Lost 1/2lb last weigh in, and think I'm on track for a loss this week too. Only once have I gone above my calorie limit but its been lower the rest of the week so it will average out fine.
Todays food so far- apple, 35g bran flakes (hexb) with milk (hexa) banana chopped in.
Lunch- 1/2 pack bachelor's savoury rice followed by apple, grapes and blueberries.
Dinner will be chilli with peppers onions etc for superfree and syns on a piece of garlic bread and a glass of wine.

If you've been reading so far I would just like to thank you all once again for the lovely messages this past few weeks, it has been tough and still very upsetting but its nice to know I have some lovely minimins people here to pick me up. Thank you xxx
 
got a virus :( the little boys I look after kindly shared theirs with me but sods law I get it 10times worse and on day 2 feeling so much worse than yesterday. Hopefully won't go on too long. Food has been good though however unfortunately the exercise has had to be put aside for now as whenever I get ill my chest and breathing are the first to be affected so need to take it easy.
Yesterday was as follows-
Breakfast- bran flakes (hexb) with banana and part of hexa milk.
Lunch- butternut squash soup (4 syns)was still hungry so had a veg stir fry with noodles and 1/2tsp oyster sauce (0.5 syn)
Dinner was slow cooked chilli with loads of superfree.

On track so far today also,
Breakfast was porridge (hexb) with grapes chopped in made with part hexa milk.

Lunch was beef flavour bachelor's savoury rice with loads of added veg (courgette, mushroom, spring onion, garlic, tomato, mange tout)
Not sure what's for dinner yet, might be a fish pie with potato top but will see how I feel! x
