    Welcome to the wemitts!
I know it seems daunting when you have a lot of weight to lose (I remember well having 12st to lose) but there really is no faster, safer way to lose it. Before you know it, you'll be looking at a 'new you' in the mirror.

As for me ... I've come to a bit of a grinding halt with nearly 5st left to go (my own fault) but hopefully will get back on track soon. :)

    Good luck!

Hi Sarah, and welcome to the forum. I lost 8 stone. Feels like long ago now.

You might like to look over at the Century Club where some of the people with over 100lbs tend to hang out. (Actually...they don't just hang out there. They keep escaping :D)

it's not impossible, I am nearly at 5 stones in 13 weeks so how's that for a start. I have a long way to go still of course but I know I can do it. and so can you. welcome and lots of good luck

Welcome to the WeMitts sonbon and Sarah. We are all trying to lose, or have lost, a lot of weight. I lost 11 stone, and am winning the struggle to keep it off at the moment. Everyone here understands the extra issues involved when you have a lot of weight to lose - from aircraft seats to toilets as it were, and everything in between! If you'd like to read my diary telling the story of my weight loss (past & present!) it's on

Hi Sarah, the key to losing when you have a lot to lose is think in little steps.....I am taking mine 1 stone at a time.....as if you look at the bigger picture it seems very daunting ....almost impossible.

    Good luck.
