A new diet, a new me

Hi there folks, just thought id drop a wee note off in the forum, a few of my friends have tied LT in the past with great success, I have spent the last few hours on the forum, reading through loads of stories ect, and I have decided im gonna give it a go. Gonna start at the end of the month when I get paid again.
I'm currently 27 years old and weigh roughly 280lb. I have two friends getting married this year and would love to be down to 200lb for the first one which is on 11th June - heres hoping!!!!!!! :D:D

Hi Hooperman welcome to the forum!
Its a great diet when you get started and as long as you stick to it - it cant fail.
Its the only diet thats ever worked for me.
Look forward to reading your posts and hearing about all the great losses you are going to have.
A bit of a tip try cutting down on the carbs now before you start (bread, potatos etc) so when you start it will firstly help you get in ketosis quicker and you wont feel the discomforforts of the first couple of days of LT as much.

Best of luck! It really is an amazing diet if you stick with it. Going on LT is the best decision I ever made. The support you receive on this forum is what really gets you through and you also have friends who have been there and lost alot of weight so they can help you too. Hiya Hooperman... Welcome to the forum..

It is really hard to begin with, but it does get easier, i promise... If you start at the end of Jan you should get down to 200lb by June (I am assuming you are male, and that means you will lose more on a monthly basis), and be able to go to the weddings looking uber-trim!! ... Good luck x x

Yes I am male lol, would absolultey love to see myself at 200lb, to begin with, then cut off another bit before the second wedding later in the year, the forum seems a very positive pace which no doubt will help me, cant wait to get started, thanks once again for the positive messages

hey hooperman... best of luck! we are a lovely friendly bunch here where no questions are off limits!! once you get started you could start up a diary in the diary section and you can track your feelings etc... and if your struggling we can be nosey and give you some encouragement!!.. keep busy and keep drinking that water and i have no doubt youll be down enough for the wedding!!.... :) x

Cheers Pudge, just have one question at the minute, how long do you say on it for, like how many weeks in a row, reading through alot of posts, some seem to stay on it longer than others

Best of luck on your journey. TFR is a great kick start to a new you. You will certainly get near enough the 200 by end of may. Then refeed carefully for the wedding.
There is no problem with staying on it from now until end if May. Just take all your shakes every day and drink four litres of water throughout the day. Initially you will wee a lot but your bladder will adjust after a few weeks and you won't notice it then.

Hi Hooperman...well done for making the first step, and being so positive will give you the best start on the LT journey, it's gonna be bumpy, and i'm sure some diversions will pop up but we can help steer you through!! you'll be strutting your foxy self on the dancefloor at the weddings i'm sure x
