Hi all
I just wanted to quickly introduce myself. My name is Rachel and I've been lurking around this forum for a few months now, reading all your posts and generally being inspired by how well you are all doing.
I have been calorie counting for a couple of months (currently on 1200 a day- MFP) but have been too afraid to get on some scales and get an accurate picture of where i am.
However reading everything here made me buy some scales this weekend, take a reading and start the life change with some idea of where i'm aiming to get to. I'm 27, 5'6 and currently 166 pounds and aiming to be 140 by October if possible as my husband and I are going to Oz for a year and i'd like to wear some shorts and feel good. Am hoping that joining here and posting now will keep me motivated to reach my goal. My weight has gone up and down over the years but i am determined this time to get thin and stay there.
Have probably gone on far too long now so i'll stop but i look forward to being able to be part of your discussions rather than just reading them!
