I hope it inspires people as it just did me.

Do you feel like you have a long way ahead of you? 50 days? 150? More?

Work out how many days you've been over weight. Work out how long this is going to take to be thin. Stack them against each other. Does it still look as long?

Me: 58 to 86 days to go. 10000+ days I've been fat.

Suddenly it doesn't seem so long! How about you?

Love it! Hopefully, 42 days to go. I've been fat for a lot longer during my life time, but since I last lost a substantial amount of weight and then piled it all on again, it's approx 1800 days!!! Puts it in perspective!

I guess 95 days to go to target weight

I've been overweight for 7,300 days, and will be thin ('normal') for more than 12,000 days!!

this is NOTHING!

Oooh, going to work mine out now;

23 years of being fat = 8395 days = 201,480 hours
Currently on day 95 of LL = 2280 hours
60 years (hopefully!) being healthy = 21,900 days = 525,600 hours





Blimey.

I have asked myself that same question many times!!! BUt the way I figured it out - ti would not have been successful, until now. That is why it happened now. BUt it sure would have been nice to have enjoyed slimness for the past 25 years!!!

I have tried and failed on many diets (SW, WW etc...) through the 10 years I have been overweight, with varying levels of success, but ALWAYS ended up heavier than I was when I started...

I woke up in cold sweats in the middle of the night in December, having had a nightmare about being even bigger than I am, and I just thought, oh my god, I have spent the WHOLE of my 20's overweight and unhappy! I was SO angry with myself and cried myself back to sleep! It was as if it was only just hitting me!

So hence, Im now determined to be slim when I turn 30 in July! :D

Sorry, big rant over! lol

It really does put it into perspective...makes it seem a lot more achievable, and when you think how quickly time goes by, I'll be strutting down the street in my size 12's in no time! ;):D

Im gonna have to remember this thread next time Im having a wobbly!
