I don't know, i can't find syn's for white bread anywhere, i have Robert's Bakery medium white in and i haven't used HEXA yet, don't want to risk it! Any idea how many syns for 2 slices of medium white?

In the SW book it says

White bread full size 400/800g loaf

1medium slice is 4syns

Personally I still have white bread and call it my HEB. I know the book says wholemeal but I don't have bread often so a few white slices for me isn't gonna make much difference

That's amazing, thought it would be more!!
Tomorrow's breakfast 2 HEXA Cheese, 2 slices of white and a tsp butter, this will make my week!
Thats all part of the beauty of sw it shows us how we can have a little of what we fancy but just not everything we fancy all at once! ;) Hope you enjoy your cheese sandwich more than I enjoyed my chinese I fancied

white bread isn't a HeB because it doesn't have enough fiber to qualify..
you're only cheating yourself if you don't count it.
No one is stopping you from having it and if you have the syns to spare then why lie to yourself?

Coljack, I totally agree about cheating yourself if you count white bread as HEB, however personally I only have bread once a week so in the grand scheme of things, it not being wholemeal isn't gonna spoil things......but if I was having it every day that's a different matter

Ummmm the OP never said she was going to have it as a healthy B. She was going to syn it and have the cheese as a HEA.

I agree about not cheating tho, as the whole point of it being W/M is the fibre, which white doesn't have init. So it defeats the object, if you have white instead of brown.

I realised after, I had read HEA as HEB. One draw back using the minimins app, you can't re-read the previous post before pressing send.

This thread had made my day! I had it in my head that white bread was 5.5 to 6 syns

Over the Christmas period I got a bit addicted to white bread cheese sandwiches with a pack of Pom Bear so now I've realised:

2 Medium Slices of White Bread - 8 Syns
1 tsp of VLF Marg - 0.5 Syns
50% Less Fat Multipack Bag of Pom Bear - 5 Syns

= A helluva treat and still within syns! Wahey! :D
