Abi's weightloss diary - post jaw surgery

i'm so glad that you have so much faith in me!! i certainly don't. i'm starting to panic that i'm NEVER going to get below 14st, however irrational that may be. it's just not shifting. and i'm being very very good. i can only hope that it's a plateau of some description and i'll suddenly get a whoosh but if i don't, bum!! i'll have to do some emergency cding!! and i'm trying to avoid that!!

I know exactly how you feel - it has taken me five weeks to lose 6lbs! This week I had lost 4lbs so I can only hope I lose the same again on Monday although knowing my luck it'll only be 1lb again. If I put on I'm definately considering removing a limb:copon:

Morning Abz
The shoes are gorg!! Sorry i havent been to visit. Am finding it so hard to catch up on all the diaries these days.
i reckon you will have a sudden big loss. Some of us have bodies that just dont wanna let go!!!
Have a lovely day
xx

You'll do it Abz
Ive been naughty and switched over to Atkins..my mother in laws lost 2 stone in 6 weeks so I thought Id try it....
SCary eating bad food though

i've done low-carbing and it really does work. i've lost weight on it before but i'm too scared of doing that at the moment. and if you get it wrong you pile it on so be careful babes. if you follow the rules it will drop off :)

since i'm finding ww manageable i would like it to work!! so i'm going to stick at it for another week and see how it goes. however if i gain again or don't lose again this week then i may have to think on other options. i have time limitations so i don't have the luxury of just waiting and waiting for it to work!!

My breath tastes like ive been eating dandilions lol
I think Ketones are starting already lol
I could see how u could pile on weight, I seem to be eating a lot of rubbish calories...but Im not hungry at all which is so odd as Im normally such a bad snacker..

Clarri I know what you mean by some bodies holding on to the fat!

weight still holding fast. a couple of days to go and 2.5lbs to vanish. somehow i don't think it's going to go by monday, ha. still, below the 14st 1lb mark would at least be a loss. the water drinking went better yesterday. and i'm working all weekend so although the boredom does make you want to nibble, if i take ww-friendly nibbles i'll be ok. but there are no events and nothing for me to have to save points up for so hopefully i'll be ok. we have no food in the house at all though. absolutely nothing. this didn't seem to occur to OH when he said this morning 'oh, but i don't need anything, it's my pay day so i get to buy my food today'... well.. um. yeah. and me? ha. might take myself out for lunch or something if that's his thinking...

wedding saving is going well this month, but when do we start paying council tax again? i'm guessing it's with the financial year in april as i haven't heard anything.. but really don't want to end up owing that again!! it's a sod to catch up on!! and i managed to get myself a tesco credit card with 1 year 0% on purchases for our honeymoon. but they take at least a month to get it to you judging by the email i got this morning and the woman told me it was a year from when you signed so it's a bit of a swizz i reckon. not that i'm planning on using it for another couple of months in any case, just wanted to make sure i had it already, but really!! at least it has strawberrys on it :) and it's a clubcard one so buying our honeymoon on it is going to give us a SHEDload of points :D

where you thinking of going for your honeymoon?

no clue su. just somewhere that is hot and lovely. and last minute to get a good deal. we figure by not setting our heart on somewhere we are more likely to get something great for our money. so we are going to have to see what's on offer first. also how much they give us on this credit card so we can afford it. ha. our wedding monies are going to hopefully pay off a lot of what it costs, but with us not knowing what we'll be given i'm sure we will have to pay some of it back on our own. i don't mind that. as long as it's gone before the credit card has interest on it :)

My theory Abz - OH so used to you not eating (Cambridge days) that he forgets to consider you when food is concerned x

quite possible gem... am just looking through my old slimming world stuff. not that i expect it to be a magical cure, i just know what i'm like. i am sure that this is just a plateau but if i start thinking it isn't working i'm sure i'm going to do a what the hell and put weight back on, so am thinking of switching to slimming world which involves eating much the same foods that i am doing now, as we use quorn instead of meat a lot of the time in any case, but will make me feel like i am trying something new... not sure about it really though.

i'm feeling rather down today. rather gloomy. part of me wants to go out for a really nice meal and a lovely evening out but another part of me is terrified of the weight gain that could mean... so i'm stuck in a down day today... am still thinking of going to the cinema later on though :)

abz xx

Sorry to see you are feeling down today - did you have a place in mind for a meal out or could you just visit a nice pub for a drink or is there a particular film you want to see?

Could you go to the local pool for a lazy dip?

Or the local bingo hall - fun night out and could add to the wedding fund:D

Ive done slimming world too on my journey lol used to weigh in people in class...
I feel like Ive been dieting forever...
Ive done
Gym and healthy eating
Slimming world
Weight watchers
Gym and healthy eating
Slimming world
Slim Fast
Weight watchers
and now Atkins lol

If my stats registered my real stats it would say start Feb 2003 start weight 25 stone.
7 stone 4lbs total loss ....only took 6 years so far with yoyo-ing up and down lol

wow. that's an amazing achievement!! if i hadn't been going up and down i'd be minus something by now!! i seem to have lost and gained the same couple of stone repeatedly...

am seriously considering slimming world just to give me a fresh look on things you know? plus, my friend bon is thinking of doing it again and it would be nice to do it with her and give each other support. and of course the lovely taz does it too :) and is a fount of knowledge. i've done it before. i've done low-carbing, ww, sw, cd, cal counting, healthing eating, the lot. but this wedding is looming and i want to make a serious dent in my weight before the end of april or i'm going to have to do cd again... yuck... well. i will probably have to in any case... but you know what i mean... ha. the more i lose the less time i'll have to do it for :)

was thinking of joining body optimise but since it's £20 a month and i don't know whether i'll be doing this long-term... we'll see...

thing i'll start slimming world from tomorrow. see what i can do :)

Abz sometimes it not a bad idea to switch. CD wasn't right for me anymore and I knew Cohen's worked really well and it has helped my loose 4kg's and maintain the past 3ish weeks (dinners out and wine) over a total of 8 weeks. I found I was in the right head space to just get on with it and switched.

I'm sure you'll make the right decision babe.

hi abz, i love sw, i find it fairly easy as you have your fee foods so know what you can and cant eat without counting points.

good luck hun.
