About all that fat...

No, not on my tummy and butt :)
As I'm eating healthily myself I am unsure as to count calories or fat.
Myu g/friends in work watch the fat content allowing 30g per day for all meals.
Can anyone advise me on which to choose? I am not even sure about which fats are which, for instance, what is GDA?
The only fat I know of is saturated found in red meat, butter and so on.
Can anyone advise?
