Advice needed please

Hi Peeps,

I started the gym just over three weeks ago as i wanted to loose weight and tone, i got my weigh and measure last night to find i lost an inch off my hips and an inch off my waist, gained half an inch on my calf and put 2lb on in weight, my instructor says this extra 2lb is muscle as all other measurements are the same. I am going to lack off the stepper and things that are going to do my muscles and concentrate more on sit up's and running and the isotronics for my inner thighs, how can i loose weight as well as going to the gym to keep fit, i want to be thinner as well as more toned, any suggestions please?????

hey...well done so far..i was going to gym but du to circumstances havnet been bac for a month...for 3 months i went religiously 3 times a week... i lost over the 3 months about 12lbs..but dropped down to and easy size 12. dont feel pressurised by the scales...go by clothes. ...the weight wil drop off when you forget about it. infact my trainer insisted i do not weigh...just go my clothes and measure. If you wnat my a rough idea of what i was doing at gym il write it up for you. well dont tho and keep it up......jsut remeber go by feel not weight! At my best i was a size 10/12 at 5 ft 4 and weighed 10st 2...im still the same hight.. (not at gym now due to injsury).size 14 now and 10.10....and the low dress was just from fitness. xx hope this helps x
