Advice needed

Hi to all im a 51 year old male. Everything went south at 40. How do I get back in shape, im 5,7 tall size 40 waist 18 stone ish. I stopped smoking at 40 and I just got lazy the weight chased me all the way to present. I've just started my slimfast diet. Please tell me if im doing it wrong.
Morning porridge
Afternoon apple, banana, slimfastbar
Lunch potnoodle 2 slices of bread
Evening slimfast shake.
Any advice would be great.

I've been doing a mix of SF and calorie counting.
What you're having looks ok but you're only having 1 shake, you are supposed to have 2 a day. I'm not sure what it is for men but for woman it is 2 shakes or meal replacements, 3 100 calorie snacks and a 600 calorie meal.
