Each time I start a pack, I feel sick and can't finish it. I have forced myself to have one so far today, and only managed 2 yesterday.
I have tried splitting them, holding my nose, trying flavours I wouldn't normally have, having them with water... nothing works.
I am close to BMI25 and am wondering if this might be my body saying it's had enough? Or is that just me trying to think of a way out of SSing??! lol I would like to do another week of SS to try and get to BMI25, but at this rate I'll end up passing out as I'm not getting all the nutrients I need, which I KNOW is important, but it just ain't happ'nin!
I have today had 1 pack, 4 pints of water, and because I had to give up on my second pack, decided to go down the Atkins route (as I do sometimes when I feel the need to eat), and had 3 beefburgers (just the meat) which totalled 300cals and 1.2g carbs, and ate each one sandwiched between 2 melba toasts (13 cals and 2g carbs each, so a total of 78 cals and 12g carbs), with a little cheese... so in effect, I made them into low carb cheeseburgers. So the total came to 378 cals and 13.2g carbs. The carbs is fine as it's less than one of my packs, and the cals added to my pack means I have had just over 500 cals, which I am happy with. I know they are fairly high in fat, but this is not a problem as I'm in ketosis and it will not get stored (that's how Atkins works). Plus its only a one off and not something I want to do in the long term, it's an emergency solution.
The only thing is, I know this is not the ideal and I am not getting all my nutrition, but I just can't stomach the packs, and I have felt weak and light-headed, but this little burger meal has made me feel 100% back to normal, almost instantly. I felt healthily full and not at all sick.
Can anyone advise why I might be feeling sick with the packs, what I can do to overcome this, or what I should do instead if I really can't get past the sickness?
